This is the kind of place where you don't want to admit the food is mediocre because of the price point, but I ended up leaving with an empty stomach and an emptier wallet.We all ordered something different, both crabs were ok, the fried shrimp was meh, and the catfish was so dry it was almost like eating a cracker. Yet for both their nasty fried dishes, they had the audacity to charge $15 and $16. This place is absolutely terrible at making basic food.The sides are just a potato, corn, or a sausage. You can have all 3 for an up charge of course, that depends on how much crab you buy. What's worse is the side items are supposed to be cooked with the crab, so when you order the fried dishes, they are boiled with no seasoning and are bland as hell.I know this is a crab place, but for as small as their menu is, they should be able to fry a frickin catfish easy. If you go here, the fried food is laughably terrible, and the crab isn't spectacular. Honestly, there are other seafood places in town who can do a lot better job at cooking seafood in general. Go to Sam's Southern Eatery instead, much bigger portions, way cheaper, and much better quality. No crab is worth enduring the Crackin' Crab.

The crab and the oysters were superb! Although they were rather busy, the wait staff seemed to move like clockwork. Never had to ask for refills and food arrived rather quickly. Can’t recommend enough if you’re a seafood foodie!!
Service was fantastic and the Dungeness crab was outstanding cooked& seasoned perfectly!!!!!!Kid-friendliness: They are very accommodating if you have children.
Great boil. I would suggest adding boiled eggs to you boil!

Amazing serving sizes and awesome flavor! Ordered calamari for appetizer - highly recommend that serving as it is light and tasty without being too greasy!!! We moved on to order a pound of crawfish and a "cast" combo of crab legs, shrimp, sausage and scallops....can't forget a potato and a small cob of corn!! Our server was super busy as he was the only wait staff on duty, but he still provided an amazing amount of service and attention thru the meal.....we were mildly surprised at the whole experience and will return again when we crave seafood in the middle of the Texas Panhandle!!

Great food and service. Our boil bag had crab legs, clams, scallops and scrimp. We got the medium sauce and it was perfect. The room was a little warm for me, but not sure it was the room or me running a little hot.
