Smoked food is NOT soul-food. The printed menu is cute, but very deceiving. The menu does not list smoked oxtails as an only oxtail option and smoke was all that I tasted. Two of my three oxtails were very fatty.
The fish is listed as catfish, but swai is the only option. The dirty rice was mid (not good) and the mac and cheese needs work.
I couldn’t tell if the greens were cooked with smoked meat or if the smoked taste came from the oxtails. The kicker was… they offer CORNBREAD on a SUNDAY at a soul-food restaurant.

I'm from out of town and was looking for something just southern. This place is amazing!!! The food is unreal fabulous. Menu is basic but with good this good you don't need a lot of choices. Everything i got tasted amazing. Locals this is the place to go. Out of Towners you can't go wrong here. Way better then those tourists destinations and as a trucker I've tried them all. You will not leave hungry. Might not even be able to drive after from the food coma you are almost guaranteed to have.

everything is excellent and well worth it. and you get plenty of everything. good people and nice atmosphere. one of best places I've ate in awhile.
I ordered the catfish, dressing, and collard greens. The dressing is so delicious. My boyfriend had the stuffed turkey leg and sweet potatoes. Everything was so good. The atmosphere is definitely weekend vibes. Music, games, and laughter. It was a great place for my family to gather for Sunday lunch.
