Awesome spot in a cute little town of Amarillo, TX. We were passing through and found this gem. It's counter service and delicious brunch / lunch foods. I got the GF biscuits and gravy & it was phenomenal. Soooo delicious and an amazing gluten free option to have! The coffee was quality, and my friends loved the pastries, quiche, and regular biscuits and gravy, too!! With delicious food, an earthy, laid-back vibe, it was the perfect stop for breakfast price was right too! What's not to love?!

Great food! Great service! I wish they had more parking, but worth the effort to get there!

We love Girasol! We have been here twice now when visiting Amarillo and they do not disappoint! Jalapeño bacon is delicious as well as the watermelon iced tea! Easy ordering at the counter and plenty of seating, indoor and out. We will absolutely be back.

Funky little liberal-feeling cafe with super friendly staff and the best croissants I've ever tasted! Great vegetarian quiche with fresh fruit (NOT the usual underripe honeydew and cantaloupe!), green salad, and roasted sweet potato salad. Cup of fried cottage potatoes. Delicious coffee and fresh, cold, clean ice water. All scarfed down too fast to take pix! Nice little patio to augment the inside dining. I'm If we lived in TX this would be a regular stop for us, for sure!Kid-friendliness: Cute kids eating here!

This place is a hidden gem! Sits behind a gas station but don't let that fool you, they are throwing down some delicious fresh awesomeness. So much to try, the French toast was yummy, blueberry scone my wife loved, and the breakfast croissant sandwich was amazing. The counter help is friendly, so glad we found this spot when traveling through Amarillo, we had to hit it up every time we went through here.

Girasol is a fabulous little hidden gem. They have a wonderful brunch, lunch items, not to mention all their yummy pastries. Definitely keep on your list of local eateries to visit in Amarillo.

Their bakery is a treasure trove of delicious treats! I love to just pop in a get fruit filled empanadas, cookies and the most sumptuous brownies! The atmosphere is nice plus the outdoor patio is lovely!

Served food in stages. One person at a time so we waited for last person to get food after every one was finished. Food was basically Luke warm. I could have made all of this at home better. Only thing worth the trip is the pastry. When we told waitress we didn't get our salad she said I didn't order correctly and then walked off after I told her never mind. Then we had to ask for the waitstaff for the last person's meal. After we all were finished. Again acted very much like they didn't care. Busy cleaning tables getting more people in instead of making sure the people that are there are getting good service. Problem number one is they get tipped at the start of the meal instead of the end of the meal. So they could care less what kind of service you get. So basically other than the pastry's you will get sub par food cold that you could do at home better and cheaper. Skip the food and visit for the pastry but get it to go and don't tip.

Can’t recommend for call-in orders. Placed order at 10:30am (2 hours before I needed it). Didn’t realize there wasn’t a separate place to pick up call-in orders. That means I had to stand in line with everyone else for nearly 30 minutes just to tell someone I’m there to pick up an order that’s already been placed, and then to wait while they finished it. Not to mention it was a tiny portion for the price! They were telling others in line that they’d have to wait 45-60 minutes for their food. One table of 2 had been there an hour and hadn’t yet gotten their food and needed to return to work. I don’t understand what the hype is here. It seems very short staffed.
