The building would be a definition of a dive, but it's kept clean and they have a really hard working staff.
I ordered the jalapeño chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes and corn. Literally one of the top chicken fried steaks I've ever had. Amazing! Not to spicy, perfect heat level.
The mashed potatoes were so good. Tasted homhomemade like mom just mashed them in the kitchen. The corn was good- nothing unique, but good.
The show stopper was the green chili mac and cheese. Unbelievable! I'd come back just for this.
Great place- worth the drive out of town!

My Dad brought me here. I’m from Houston and frequent some of the finest steakhouses in Houston. I ordered the ribeye for lunch and it was up there on one of the best steaks. Beyond tender, the char….so good. The service was amazing. I was sent home with a complimentary dessert for not being around here. If this isn’t hospitality I don’t know what is. A great lunch with my Dad thanks to this place. Will definitely be back!
