I was so excited to pick up chicken fried steak I brought it home and when started I started To eat it I immediately realized it was old, tasted like it was made and sitting around for awhile . I didn’t take it back due to my time restriction. I ate a lil of it that was all I could eat. It Makes me sad and disappointed I was so looking forward to having yummy Chicken Fried Steak and they failed. I won’t ever be going back I will find another restaurant with good CFS. Home Plate Diner SHAME on you I thought you were better than this, you lost a long time customer .

Ordered an Old Fashioned burger, added green chilies cheeseburger and curly fries (no drink). Somehow it came out to $14. Burger size was small but taste was decent. Curly fries were not crispy and unseasoned. Overall, an underwhelming experience.

Really good food and great service, the waitress, I think Toni was her name, is excellent.
Have been coming here since they opened & the inconsistency has finally driven me off. Paid $38 for 2 chicken fried steak dinners. No drinks. To go. It was Friday about 7:30 pm. We paid an extra $2.79 each for 2 baked potatoes that were dark brown on the inside & dry. The CFS was tasteless. Even the salad was tiny compared to usual. Had to go back for the salad because they forgot it. I used to take my family there to eat all the time but the prices are too high. For about the same price, I'll go to Dyers or Youngbloods from now on. ☹

I got take out, Beef Stew.. it was sooo good. Now, they also served a cornbread muffin with it. I didn't really enjoy the cornbread muffin, because it stuck to the paper holder.
But, other than that? That Beef Stew was sooo good...
