I have walked into porta potties cleaner than this establishment. The food was blah and after we paid 3 different tips I was done with this place.

The food was ok not like Louisiana even though based like a boil at home. It lacked flavor and over cooked. The service was good and the people working were very nice. I wasn’t too impressed by atmosphere. It was to dark to see anything and I don’t like fighting my food to eat.

Our waitress was Faith she was an excellent waitress so friendly. she was very beat 💓 She took the time go over the menu and how to order the seafood boils. We had our drinks and sweet potatoes very quickly. We shared the seafood boil and each of us had a cup of lobster bisque. My husband Ernie and I highly recommend Hook and Reel.

While we had a great time at Hook and Reel, thanks to the lively atmosphere and stellar service, our experience was unfortunately dampened by a possible issue with the shellfish. About two hours after enjoying a meal that included their lobster bisque and Cajun boil (with cooked lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, fried calamari, and corn), I experienced an unpleasant bout of diarrhea. It's worth noting that my wife, who had a smaller portion of the shellfish, experienced no issues at all. While it's impossible to pinpoint the exact cause, it's possible that the shellfish was affected by a toxin, something that can unfortunately occur, especially in warmer months. Food sensitivities vary greatly, and this is just my personal experience.

I love this place but the Gratuity it’s insane!! 18% is crazy! And we were all going to tip a decently amount too! My party of 6 was going to tip $7 each person that’s $42 total from us, our server wasn’t even consist with us so I feel like $7 is okay if she was better at it we were going to tip more, but this is crazy, that needs to be negotiable to at least %10 or %13 but wow that’s crazy I’m never taking my friends and family from there and it being her first time in Texas experiencing this is wild

We love coming here. The boils are very customizable to fit anyone's preferences. This is also a great place to celebrate special days/birthdays.

We planned to eat here. Unfortunately, we were a party of 12, and they would not accommodate us at all. The hostesses were rude and confrontational. They would not split us up and said the wait for a large enough table could be at least a 45 minute or longer-she just didn't know. Wow, what a way to ruin an evening!

We had King Crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp, & Crawfish Boil with Original Cajun Spicy Sauce. It was like being in New Orleans again.
