Jimmy's Egg Reviews
We had Melissa as our server this morning & the service was exceptional! I never send food back but unfortunately my eggs Benedict were over cooked & she noticed the disappointed look on my face and very kindly had them remade. They redid them and they were perfect! The hollandaise sauce is excellent. It was worth waiting for! She just took great care of us! 💜
I love the food here. I ordered Veggie Benedict with a side of bacon. My favorite hot sauce is Chualula.

Jimmy's Egg on Georgia St. in Amarillo offers a delightful breakfast and brunch experience. The food is consistently hot and delicious, with standout dishes including buttery waffles, crispy chicken, and a Cuban sandwich with pulled pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. The service is friendly and attentive, with hosts and waitstaff like Dina who ensure a quick and pleasant dining experience. The menu has a variety of appealing options, and the coffee is praised for its quality. Jimmy's Egg is a recommended alternative to chains like IHOP or Denny's, providing a superior dining experience.
Recent reviews mention some inconsistency, such as over-baked biscuits and scrambled eggs that are very small and eaten with a spoon. Cold gravy and weak ice tea have also been noted, along with some slow service. However, many customers still enjoy the hot and flavorful food, especially pancakes and eggs cooked just right, and find the staff friendly and quick. The hostess Dina is appreciated for her kindness and efficiency. Overall, visitors find Jimmy's Egg a good place for breakfast and brunch, better than other chain restaurants, with plenty of tasty options and good coffee.
