Excellent dining experience, in Amarillo it is second only to Cellar 55 in dining experience. I believe they are both from the same owner. We had dinner with traveling friends. They loved the experience as did my wife and I. Thank you very much. Mike

Whoa! I can’t even believe what just happened. We go to Mac Joes for special occasions. We had a special occasion and my teenager chose Mac Joes. We usually go as a party of 5 about once every 2 months or so. It’s “our place”. We usually have or see the same servers such as Jaime. We usually love everything about it from ambiance to service to food. Tonight we didn’t even find a remnant of that. We had a reservation for 3 on a Monday night. We arrived 10 minutes late and were the only ones seated in the main dining room. Our first surprise was that the menu had changed quite a bit. Basically, several items are no longer being served and although there are supposed to be lots of new items, the menu simply listed the name of the dish and “coming soon”. Ok. Not a huge deal. We ordered appetizers, salads, and entrees, and 1 glass of wine. Just 3 of us. We do like to dine, but it took us over an hour and 10 minutes to get our entrees. Well, my husband and son anyways. Mine took about another 10 minutes after theirs. I told them not to wait on me so they began to eat. Well, both had asked for potatoes. My son had an incorrect side, but my husband was flat out missing a side altogether. We are waiting for our waitress (who we’ve been told is making my entree….is she the chef too? ??♀️) so they begin to eat and their risotto and steaks are cold. Not just lukewarm, but cold. At this point they’re starving since it’s been almost an hour and a half since we sat down so they just sent their risottos back and asked for their sides of potatoes so they could eat some of their steaks while waiting. Now my lasagna arrives that our waitress prepared and I finish that before they ever get their sides back. If was a nightmare. Eventually, the manager stops by and apologizes and offers a free dessert which we don’t want bc now we just want to leave. At the 2 hour mark my husband has to leave for a business call. I kind of thought maybe 1 or our 2 appetizers or a drink or something might be comped, but nope. We were charged the full $158 dollars for 3 of us. We would have had a much better experience at the Olive Garden or Outback. I’m not saying that lightly. Something is awry here. I truly expected to check reviews and find similar problems. If this were Chilis or Olive Garden, it would get 3 stars but this is what is usually 4.5 star Mac Joes. We will think very very long and hard before we ever return and I’m warning you to do the same.

My husband took me here the 1st time for my birthday. This restaurant is amazing!! The atmosphere is wonderful! And the staff is great! We have already been back twice. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great place for a romantic dinner.

The food was excellent! The ambience was fantastic! The service was great! There was a noisy table of ladies not too far away, but it did not hinder our evening. We look forward to eating there again. 
I was at a loss on what to do to celebrate my husbands 40th, until i found Mac Joe’s. I made a reservation on a Wednesday for a Friday night…i know, I’m a procrastinator! With a simple Facebook message 1 day before our reservations, the wheels were set in motion. Kyler called me less than 24 hours before our reservation and had already clearly done his homework! He learned about us, shared with me his perfect ideas and we were off! A 10 minute conversation was all it took to have the perfect evening planned! Braves themed flowers, a perfect specialized note, champagne, a personal wine tasting and a specialized lemon desert all for my husband. This is hospitality. I will NEVER plan another event anywhere but here!

There is a limited menu, but the choices are very good. The food quality and taste, along with the service, are top notch. The menu is on the pricey side ($230.00 for six of us before tip) but the entire experience makes it worth the cost. This is definitely a "special occasion" restaurant! This was not our first visit and it won't be our last.

Was not informed that the bouquet of flowers that was put on the table for our 14 anniversary was going to charged to out ticket. The host I spoke to on the phone volunteered to get the flowers. I never asked for the flowers. I assumed it was a courtesy from the restaurant if I would have known I was going to be charged I would have brought my own flowers.

We had a fantastic experience dining at Macaroni Joe’s for my daughter’s 18th birthday. We were visiting the Amarillo area from Nebraska and we wanted someplace special to celebrate a special occasion. Macaroni Joe’s did not disappoint. Our server, Gage, was cordial and provided us with excellent service. The presentation on the plates was fantastic, and the food was prepared exactly to our specifications. The bison tenderloin was tender, flavorful and the house sauce and bed of peppers and potatoes complimented the meat perfectly. My daughter had the filet mignon and it was also a quality cut of meat, perfectly tender and perfectly cooked to medium as she requested. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin special, which was also a beautifully presented, flavorful dish. I consider myself a connoisseur of the Old Fashioned, and I am not easily impressed. Their Joe’s Old Fashioned prepared with Basil Hayden Bourbon is one of the better ones I have had. Thank you Gage and Macaroni Joe’s for providing us a wonderful evening to celebrate with our daughter!
