1st time diner here. Old school ambiance, great service, everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and was delicuous!

Brussel sprouts are the best around! Filet and salmon were great. My wife had the risotto- she loved it! One of our favorite spots to eat!

We ordered the NY strip- and sea bass- shared a wedge salad and the risotto. All were fantastic - service was timely and suggestions available on the different sauces. We will 100% return.

If you are seeking delicious food in an upscale atmosphere in Amarillo, look no further and just book your table here. We had assorted appetizers and entrees of steak and seafood and all were delicious. Our server Paige took good care of us and understood what our family (2 parents and 3 teen/20 something boys) needed.

Always a great experience, one of if not the best restaurant in Amarillo. Amazing food, fantastic drinks, and great service.

We gave the Metropolitan a second try after a previous visit left us less than impressed. Because, after all even excellent restaurants can have a bad moment. My wife ordered a small filet cooked medium well done. I ordered a large filet cooked medium. When our steaks arrived, mine was cooked appropriately but my wife's was rare, cherry red throughout. Our server had disappeared, so we waited several minutes to catch her and ask for it to be corrected. She apologized and said a fresh steak would be prepared. To their credit she did receive a fresh steak but when she cut into this one it was only slightly more done than the previous one. It was still cherry red in the center and pink throughout. Definitely not medium well with just a small amount of pink in the center. My wife hates to complain so she ate the second steak rather than send it back again, but it ruined the whole meal experience for her. That is two strikes out of two visits, so we are done with the Metropolitan. There are better places in Amarillo.

This was the single best restaurant experience I have ever had. I celebrated an anniversary there and the mixture of amazing food, excellent service, and enjoyable music and ambiance made the night great. I will return again for celebrations in the future

The place was beautiful and our server was awesome and very attentive, however for the amount of money we spent you get very little food. They should at least give you a salad with your $86 steak! Nothing is free, not even bread!

What a wonderful birthday dinner! We felt welcome immediately even though our Lyft driver got us there early. Shout out to Katyn, our server. She is amazing! She timed our dining experience perfectly. We had Old Fashioneds and caprese w/ heirloom tomatoes to start. My husband and I both ordered filets (cooked to perfection!), shared the truffle Parmesan risotto and sautéed green beans. Everything was delicious! We never felt rushed. The owner, Jared came over to ask how we were doing and if we were enjoying our meal. I loved the confetti decorating our table for my bday☺️Also, the crème brûlée was delicious. Thank you to all the staff, what a great find in Amarillo!

Staff was inexperienced and inattentive. Restaurant tries to present an upscale experience, however, they have no idea of gourmet or fine dining. 1. No bread or veggie tray served upon seating. 2. Drinks were not refilled unless requested. 3. Salads were miniscule. Everything ala carte with no thought as to what was being presented. Prices were over the top for the quality of food presented. More expensive than a Michelin dinner. Items offered on menu were not available, at beginning of evening. A very disappointing experience. A special occasion recognized at seating. However, no follow up. We were the only patrons at the 6:00 p.m. hour.

Night of Dueling Pianos... extremely busy but the wait staff were on top of things! Never a lag between drinks, foot or refills! They were fantastic!!

My husband and I always split the chicken fried steak meal. It is, by far, the best chicken fried steak in the area! Try it, you won't be disappointed!
