Today was the first time I have been to the restaurant. I frequently visited the food truck! The restaurant is off the charts! The service was outstanding as was the food. I had the steak fajita egg rolls and Mexican chocolate cake! Both were 10+! You can taste the love that goes into each dish! I will be back! I’m taking my book club there in February!

My girlfriends and I go out to dinner on Wednesday nights. We decided to give Mi Gente a try and we were beyond pleased that we did. Miguel was our waiter....and he was awesome. We each ordered something different so we could try mulitiple dishes. WOW!!!!!! We loved every bite of every selection. Atmosphere was nice. Very open and very clean!!! We are going back next Wednesday. Give it a try! You will love it!!!

For anyone in Amarillo craving exceptional Latin or Mexican food, Mi Gente is a must-visit. I was blown away by their asada tacos – the flavors were authentic and the quality was superb. The street corn was also a highlight, perfectly prepared and bursting with taste. On top of the fantastic food, the service was truly outstanding. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Mi Gente is a real gem in Amarillo!
The best Cuban sandwich I’ve had is here. The bread is crispy and the meat is so tender. Great job chef!

Find this hidden gem if your every in Amarillo. We got lucky and happened upon Mi Gente by accident. It’s right across from the Hogetown ballpark and the food is next level! Fresh, flavorful and filled with a skilled touch by Chef Paul, I wish we knew about it earlier on our trip. Carnitas and Asada cooked to perfection! Lots of veggie dishes and street corn to die for. Big thanks to Paul and his lovely wife and partner who run the place. The truck houses the kitchen but there’s a lovely sit down restaurant adjacent to it. Run don’t walk to Mi Gente!

Wow this place is the real deal. I had a long drive ahead of me and wanted to check out the food before leaving town. They sold out and were closing when I was walking in. The owners were very nice and were able to make a carnitas & corn dish for me. Great food. Will be my go to when I’m traveling in Amarillo again.
