We got plates to go from the truck out front. Everything was good, the salsa was definitely spicy. The beans had a kick to them also so not very kid friendly. I got the Gordita’s place and ate every last bit. I got the flautas for the kids and they enjoyed it. We also ordered the pambazo and the enchiladas and it was all good. I also got the nut licuado and it was amazing. I’d definitely come back next time we pass through.
Honestly, Mimi’s is so underrated! I wouldn’t ever go to another Mexican restaurant! Love the people, the service, the food! The flautas always come out so perfect! & at night … the tripas always are so golden & crispy! Gosh! 10/10! Obsessed! Thank you Mimi’s!
The food is not as good as it looks. The flavor of the beef for tacos is very lacking like meat cooked with no salt and not super fresh, the pork for gorditas was highly spiced to taste like chorizo which I don't want unless I'm eating chorizo. The chips are ok but cold, the green sauce is right for tomatillo and avocado but it's thinned So much it's consistency is like water... The refried beans were also Very thin and runny but the taste was decent. As well...
