Mitch's Texas Style BBQ

Disappointed that you seem to be leaning more towards chicken than bbq. I stopped in here a while back and ordered the 3 meat plate one of the items being pulled pork. I stopped back through a week later and I order the same thing only to be told that you didn’t have pulled pork anymore and that you never had a 3 meat plate. When I know you did not the week before. I have several truck driver friends that stop at the Amarillo location inside the Toot n Totum at exit 75 and they all said the same thing well they had it last week. And this evening 8-8-25 I stop in here and order the stockpile by your menu it says it’s supposed to come with a drink and a side. Which is apparently a lie cause when I asked if it came with a drink and a side the girl said no. It’s getting to the point where I’m going to quit eating here if something doesn’t change. Hire people that know what the menu says or change the menu to show that you don’t get a side and a drink. I mean are you trying to go out of business? Because if you keep it up you’re going a great job.

Been eating @ the Georgia St location every Sunday. Met friends, taken food to my employees. And $1.50 beer😃! Manager Chelsea is a rock star! Her guest service goes above & beyond!

Food is ok, but service is questionable. They act like you are a bother to them when ordering your food. The brisket sandwich is awesome though.

I ordered a catering order for 40 people last week and the whole experience was excellent! From the ordering process, to the customer service I received, and then the food. It was fresh and DELICIOUS! I wish I had caught all of their names, but the people who brought my food out to my car were incredibly friendly and professional. I will definitely be using this particular Mitch’s again if I ever need another catering order. 10/10!

This place has great bbq. The price is average for texas, and the taste is wonderful. But let's talk about where they really shine.

savannah and talisay greated me 10 minuites before they closed. They were kind, understanding, and so generous. When they were already out of baked potatoes they offered a solution that left me happy. I will definitely be back, because I was treated so well.

Give them a raise!

First picture looks great. I devoured the first slider dumping sauce on it because the brisket was dry. The bun felt ... for lack of better words, rubbery? I hit the sausage and was definitely satisfied with the flavor there. The Green chillie mac was good too. But then I grabbed the second slider. Decided to try it without sauce. Something tasted off. So ... I spit it out and flipped the bun over. Wallah! Luckily I'm sleeping in my truck, because if I get sick, I'll head back inside! ... To be continued! 🤬😡🤢🤬

The bbq is good, especially for this part of Texas. What surprised me is the chicken tenders. They are battered in house and have a great flavor. Definitely get them fresh but wow they are delicious.

I’m astonished that food this delicious can still be that affordable. I thoroughly felt like my money’s worth was got. Less than $13 for ribs n’ chicken with a few baked chips and a 44oz drink.

We stopped in today and gave it a try. The workers were polite and helpful. The ribs and chicken were amazing. The dining area was clean. I do have one major complaint that there is not one of these in Albuquerque. For now I will look forward to my trips to Amarillo as we have a new favorite place to eat.

I was promptly told by an obviously exhausted, but still courteous young woman, that they had no (end of the night) more meat. That was zero problem for me, considering that I only wanted an order of fried mushrooms. She rung it up, I paid and she said 5 minutes. I came back and she had my order bagged and handed it to me with a smile. Zero attitude, 80% exhaustion and 100% professionalism!

I was very disappointed with them. We have been coming here for about 2 years when we pass through Texas from over the road and they STOPPED selling the pulled pork sandwich. Very upset so my husband got the brisket sandwich instead and it was horrible very dry and burnt. Will not be returning
