Got pho in my time of need when my body was feeling down. Felt better after consuming the pho. It's good food overall, but I felt they were holding back a bit on the toppings. The service could've been better as well, but it's still decent.

Pho has good flavor, meat was sparing and could be be a bit more or at least slice it thinner to make it look more. I don't mind cutting up my steak meat but I don't want to do that when I eat pho, the pieces of meat should be small or thin so you don't have to bite it or cut it each time you go for a mouthful. There were just three large piece of beef. I ask for extra lime and got two pieces of small lime. My second visit, I got three small pieces of lime when asked for extra. The mints leaves are very sparing both visit. I want to support your business and will return but please don't be so cheap with the lime and mint leaves. Bun Bo Hue was bland and spring roll was bland too. Service was very nice and good and prompt.

I think it was a hard day for these guys. The staff was nice and friendly, but too busy. The Thai tea was great! Downside: The food came cold. I had Pad Thai with chicken but the noodles had a very strong fish flavor, and the sauce was kinda missing (for Pad Thai, to me, a good sauce makes it). We had a dozen people dine and less than half enjoyed the meal. It’s a nice idea and we’re happy to have another Pho option, but they need to work on their presentation, service and chef experience. Will try again after their upcoming move to see if improved.
Kid-friendliness: it is fine for kids but no child menu.

Every time ive been here, theres some sort of problem. This time they lost my order. It just mysteriously went missing. 25 minutes for an order of pho and spring rolls. Im confused for the most part on the timing with food, thats made days before. But since my order was lost they remade it within 8 mins. Pho take time and is a process that can take a day or so to make properly not something made to order. So the broth is already on hand. So basically your reheating the broth and adding the meat and veggies to order. Theres never 2 or more cars in the parking lot and it just doesn't add up. Once my boyfriend and i came to eat and tried to oreder a kids fried rice to go for our child and were told no. Im guessing because the kid wasn't present but really idk. The waitress told us because we had already ordered entrees that we couldn't order a kids meal, although it was to go and for my child. Strange. All in all the service is slow. The servers are usually polite and kind but something is always wrong. I will say if you do eat at Pho 84 to go in and sit down. Can you please an online order or a pickup order you're not getting your money swears the containers are full but when you sit in and dine you take home leftovers and a full container.

Food is good service terrible . I had to cancel my order one time because I had work and I wasn’t able to pick up I called and let them know . They got upset and told me it comes out of the servers pocket if I don’t pick up. I later tried to call in an order another day and they told me I’m not allowed to make phone orders because I didn’t pick up last time .
Such a shame and their food was good too I wasn’t expecting that at all
Update 10/26/2022 I had food poisoning and figured that some pho would help
I got told to pay upfront when I walked in because they remember me not picking my order up Before I even got a water and fully for refused service do not eat here
Edit : November 2 2024 Called and got hung up on mid sentence when asking if they had a wait and if they by chance had pho left ( it was a cold rainy day so I understood they may run out)
My boyfriend called and asked if they had any they said “Yeah we we a pho place” Then he asked a question about the menu. Person on the phone said To just go look online that he was too busy to help us and hung up on us.
I believe Pho 84 is the best authentic Pho restaurant here in Amarillo. All the food selections are delicious! I recommend you go if you want great authentic Pho/ Vietnamese! Try the Oxtail Pho!

For a Pho based restaurant, the pho was okay. It was a bit bland and lacked flavors. However, what was the main issue on why I’m never going to eat there again is the staff. A lady there who was my waitress was very rude and did not want to serve us. She always looked unhappy and really just didn’t want to be there. Really really poor service.

The lady there who was the cashier has always been rude. She waitresses there too and is always irritated for some reason. I went to the place 3 times and got her as a waitress twice and both experience was not great. The first time I’ve been there, she wasn’t too rude but was definitely irritated. The second time I walked in, it was a younger boy who was very nice when we ordered our curry with fried rice. The third time however, I got this irritated lady again and when I ordered the same curry with fried rice she came back with the curry with plain rice. It was very dry because she also put the rice in the same bowl with the curry. I told her about it and she just said they don’t serve it with fried rice and ignored us after. When I ordered it before with the young boy, the order was completely fine and came with fried rice. So I don’t understand what’s so difficult with just replacing it with fried rice??? The reviews about this lady being unfriendly is definitely right and based off on her reply to a recent bad review made it more obvious of how rude she is. There is definitely something wrong with her.
