The Plaza has been one of our family's favorite restaurants in Amarillo for over 30 years. We love their food. We especially love the jam that comes with the cheese sticks. We have many favorite items including the stuffed avocados and enchiladas. The papas are also very tasty.The restaurant is family friendly. Usually, there are many people trying to eat there during peak dining times.The service is always good. Our only complaint would be that they do not take reservations which is particularly maddening when we have a large group.Parking: Usually there is plenty of parking. Sometimes you have to walk a little if during a peak dining time.

I cannot say enough good things about the Plaza. We always try to make it a point to visit here when we are in Amarillo. The waitress was superb- calm as a cucumber, friendly and efficient with our party of 12. The food was excellent! Not a single complaint- all was hot, fresh and delicious. The beef tips and enchilada was beyond delicious! I would eat here everyday if we lived in Amarillo. There is something for everyone on the menu!

Passing through Amarillo and we found this little gem! Well the restaurant is pretty large with 3 dining rooms I believe and a bar in the center. Our waitress was a super sweet girl , I wish I could remember her name, young with glasses. Anyway she was terrific! Very attentive for a busy night. The guacamole was delicious, the salsa lacked flavors, tasted like tomato sauce, chips were crispy and fresh. My husband ordered the beef fajitas and really enjoyed them...he ate 3!!! Homemade flour tortillas really made the dish. All the accoutrements looked good and the plate came sizzling as you should expect! I ordered the flat or stacked enchiladas and they did not disappoint! Just like I make them and they were delicious!! Their beans and rice were equally delicious! I would definitely stop here again!

Delicious food with a wide variety of items on the menu and good vegetarian options. Love the sauce choices and that there are two kinds of potatoes available. Best chile relleno I’ve had in AmarilloVegetarian options: Sauces are all vegetarian. Black beans are available and very good. Chile relleno is fabulous.
