The atmosphere was inviting. The food was delectable especially the meatloaf since it contained duck meat and was seared in the plancha. Highly recommended.

Elegant and upscale.
Food is delicious and creative.
Saturday brunch is great; from traditional breakfast, to chicken fried steak, to omelets and things more exotic.
Really well prepared and served.
Large portions and reasonable prices for such quality.
Much more sophisticated and elegant than the usual fare in Amarillo.

We found Public House via a Google search and decided to give it a try. We sat in the bar area and both people working were friendly, personable and professional. The drinks were great. I have never raved about a Cobb salad in a review before, but it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Entrees were a trip to flavortown. Highly recommended. Visited 8/14/25.

I took my elderly parents for an early birthday dinner for my 85 year old dad. We got there at 6:45, were told by host that we couldn’t get a table until 7:15. No problem as I don’t make a reservation. I went to bar and got a cocktail for myself while we waited. Bartender made my drink in 5 minutes. We were seated at 7:15ish and our server, Shelly, came to table about 5 minutes later. She took our drink order and told us the specials and then we didn’t see her again for 35-40 minutes. I went to hostess to ask about getting served and I was told that Shelly and the manager would be right over. Shelly came by and asked if we wanted to order dinner and my dad told her we’d really like our drinks first then we would order. So we waited again. Hostess came by and I asked her if we could have some bread while we waited for our drinks. They don’t have bread, we got lavosh crackers. It helped. Finally about 8:10 we got our drinks and ordered two appetizers because we felt like a big meal that late would be too much.
Manager finally stopped at table and said “well we are really busy tonight what a great problem to have.” Not a sorry, not a “can I make it right?” Nada. What a crappy “manager”!!! We ate our appetizers and got our bill at 8:38, two hours after our arrival. The bill was $105 for apps and 4 drinks.
Terrible experience! Avoid this place.
