Quirky little joint at Tradewind Airport. Star of the show is its chicken fried steak. A lot of batter but it’s got a good crunch and nice seasoning. The gravy is top notch. The meat is fork-cuttable but could use tenderizing and a bit of salt. Liked the touches of the fresh orange slice, pineapple and strawberry garnishes. Good mashed potatoes and I got the green chile corn instead of the salad. Good call. A bit pricey but the quality and setting balance that out. My wife enjoyed her bacon burger. Chips come with the burger ($3 extra for fries.)

Great food! Great service with a smile! Chicken fried steak was awesome, and the mashed potatoes light. The pies are worth it also. We will be going back.

Crazy prices for how terrible the food was. Waitress loudly made comment about how small of a woman I am to another waitress. It was rude and disrespectful.

Wow. This place is expensive for such mediocre food. The food is overpriced, dull and basic. They charge $3 for substitutions otherwise you get a pathetic bag of chips, they charge $3 for drinks regardless if it's a soda or not, and everything is over $10. I was racking my brain trying to figure out why everything is so expensive for such basic lame food and it hit me! There's an airport nearby where people land their little passenger planes and an expensive dull cookie cutter neighborhood nearby too. So this place figures they can charge whatever they want and not give any service and people will pay it. And it looks like that's the case.

Food is basic and expensive. Not worth the money at all.

We had a great breakfast at Shelby’s. We were impressed b our waitress and her on-going checking to be sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed watching the planes on this very windy morning. The breakfasts were all expertly prepared and the sausage burrito was the best ever!! The chef knows how to make perfect hash browns. Sone were added to the burrito Ali g with a generous portion of sausage, eggs and cheese. Then the burrito was toasted on the griddle. Yum!!!

Shelby's for breakfast today was a very pleasant experience. The food was excellent and perfectly presented, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We sat at a large window watching the planes take off and land as well as enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Tradewinds airport. The restaurant seating was full, and the tables were packed with very nice people, allowing the eating experience to be pleasantly quiet and remarkable peaceful. The food, the atmosphere, and the vast outdoor panarama provided a unique and very satisfying breakfast experience. Shelby's at Tradewinds is my new and required quality breakfast hotspot. I can not wait to visit again.

Great little place. It’s rather unusual to have lunch and watch small planes land and taxi. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the hamburger buns, they held together nicely. Overall, good experience
