The service was incredible. They were very welcoming and made sure we had enough napkins and drinks throughout our meal. Very friendly. We went for the wings and had to try Buffalo lemon pepper catfish- glad we did! The catfish just melts in your mouth but the cornmeal crust gave it a good crunch. The Buffalo lemon pepper made it even better, definitely recommend it. Amazing cold slaw- it was bright and crunchy. The fries are my favorite kind- batter dipped I think it's called? The wings were bigger than I was expecting, which I'll never complain about. Again, perfect texture with the outside having just enough crunch and the meat so juicy. We for the wang sauce and Buffalo honey- both sauces were sooo flavorful. I'm normally a ranch fiend but I barely used any on these wings. They also gave us a couple banana puddings on the house, which was so kind. It was perfect to my liking- not too sweet and the banana flavor wasn't too strong either. We went in the afternoon so we were the only ones dining in but they had several call-in orders and still were very attentive to us. It was clean and they did have a tv if you like to watch while you eat. The have an outdoor patio too if you want to enjoy the weather with your meal. I like the bright blue and mural painted outside- very cute establishment. We will definitely be going back.

The food is incredible, we got lemon pepper catfish, cheese sticks and wings with wang sauce. The catfish was perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. Cheese sticks were fantastic as well. The wings have a great texture and the sauce is insane. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff was very kind, attentive and professional and the interior looks great. We will absolutely be back

This is my second attempt to support this black owned business. The customer service is argumentative and not professional. I have tried four different flavors of their chicken wings and none of them are good. Four of my friends have tried this location and have not enjoyed the wings they ordered. The catfish is the only thing worth ordering in my opinion and it has lots of breading/cornmeal on it to make it very crunchy and is a bit salty. If you get the buffalo lemon pepper catfish, it will just have a lot of buffalo sauce on it and my friend who ordered it, did not like it at all, but enjoys the regular catfish. The macaroni cheese is a water down frozen bag of noodles with orange sauce that is not made fresh in the house. The banana pudding is lacking bananas and has a lot of box pudding flavor, but it's nothing like a grandma used to make. The first time I ever came in the owner argued with me about the macaroni and cheese being real cheese and brought me a frozen clear baggie from the freezer with pre-boil noodles and orange sauce to my table to show me that it wasn't powder, box cheese, but there were no labels on the package. It is not freshly made as I stated to him and was nasty. The business has spiderwebs over the tables, doesn't have a quick clean turnaround rate, and sometimes don't even have napkins in the napkin containers on the table. You have to find someone to give you sauces, napkins, ice anything. The second time I went with a group of friends upon their request to give it a second try. The cook kept yelling out different types of wings instead of knowing which table they're supposed to go to. This happened a few times. He yelled out something quietly, and then said ranch. My table could not hear him and when we ask what he had in his hand, he yelled out with an attitude looking at us and said "chicken"! It was the rudest most disrespectful ordeal. One of the ladies at my table say yes it's ours just give it to us. They all were nasty, just FYI and the ranch flavor wings were pink in the inside. Out of 12 wings we may have eaten 3 in it's entirety, and through the rest away. There was another couple that was there almost as long as we were and never got their food at all. There was a young lady working there who had great manners and was super sweet and she is the best thing in the business, but she doesn't own it nor that she cook. If you ask for napkins or sauce, or even your drink, you may not get it because they'll forget, are not organized and have to be reminded by someone else. There seems to be no numbers for tables or organization in this business. I'm all about supporting and helping local businesses, but if there is no customer service that is half the battle. Your food has to be fire or worth eating and this is a place where you just throw money away and hope not to get abused or argue with by the staff it is completely unacceptable. I wish that there was a local business on the Eastside that supported the community and treated everyone kindly. That also had fantastic food, but this is not the case. If you have a pallet of any kind and have ever left the local area, or gone around the world, you will realize that this food is not up to par. Try it for yourself, but I will not be back to throw away my money and fight with the people that work here. It's a ratchet situation.
