Did wanna give a huge shout out to El Tapatio on Coulter. We Stopped in for breakfast this weekend.
Not only is the grub good, the service is great, the folks there are warm and kind. But I also wanted to give them a big boost with this pancake.
My little boy ordered it for breakfast. Not a kids pancake, just a pancake. The way his face lit up when this dude hit the table, and the amount of pride that this was served and presented with, was something special.

This place is amazingly good!!! The food is so fresh and delicious!!!! The waitress was so attentive!!! We had the menudo, poppers and the Tropicanas fajitas!!! The pineapple was so delicious and the shrimp grilled perfectly!!! The menudo was so flavorful and they gave alot of meat on the small. The bread with the menudo was so toasty and buttery and warm.

The prices are pretty moderate for a time when restaurants find it difficult to keep prices down. The green chili chicken enchiladas were very good. My major complaint about most Mexican restaurants is that the food is bland. Taqueria El Tapatio seasons their food, and that doesn’t mean heat, but heat is there if you want t it. I’ll be going back. Soon, I hope.

The food was mediocre, and the service left much to be desired—I didn’t see the waitress again after she dropped off our food. However, the real reason I’m leaving this review is to warn others about a troubling pattern I’ve experienced here.
I’ve visited multiple times, and every time, the amount charged to my bank account doesn’t match the total on my receipt. At first, I didn’t make a big deal out of it since the difference was usually just a dollar or two. But today, I was overcharged by $10.
When I called to ask about the discrepancy, I was told, “I don’t know how to explain it to you—it’s just pending, and the bank isn’t open.” Unsatisfied with that explanation, I went in person to show him the pending charge on my account, which clearly did not match the total due. Only then did he offer to give me the difference in cash.
If this had been a one-time mistake, I might have let it go—but it’s happened too often to ignore. Whether it’s carelessness or something worse, this kind of repeated discrepancy is unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I encourage others to double-check their statements if they choose to dine here.
