I had the pleasure of meeting Shaniece at a wedding we were both working on…I was working on the cake and she was setting out a beautiful spread of the most delicious Macarons I’ve ever seen!!! ?. We got to visit for a bit…She’s just the sweetest person you’d ever want to meet… And upon leaving, she graciously gave me a crème brûlée macaron to try. I must confess, I couldn’t wait… I ate it in my car!!! Lol. All I can say is WOW!!! Most definitely the best one I have ever tasted! With my busy schedule, I haven’t had the opportunity to go to The Eatery… but now I’m definitely going to make time :-). Highly recommend ❤️

Really tasty cookies, and really friendly staff! Struck up great conversations with them, and they are so kind to their guests! Sadly not serving lunch anymore, but a highlight of Amarillo!

This place should be re-named "The Bakery on Route 66" as they quit serving lunch and are bakery sweets only now. Very disappointing as this was a delicious, quaint, fun place for lunch. Amarillo already has several established bakeries but we don't have good local lunch place as this was.EDITTo the owner's response-I just discovered your cafe a couple of months ago and raved about the lunch to several friends and family. So I hadn't had a chance to give a review. So your "shame on me" and accusing me of "bullying you" as well as assuming I am "angry?!" about your business changes comment was untrue as well as unprofessional just because you didn't like my review and took it very personal. Reviews let people know what is going on with businesses so that is what was stated in mine- you are bakery only and no longer a lunch place. As stated in my review your lunch cafe will be missed. Well established bakeries are everywhere in this town so I wish you the best.

This place is awesome, has been a favorite to stop by and get lunch and grab some of their incredible sweet treats... but as of April 2023, they stopped serving lunch (brunch ended a few months prior) and now they just offer sweet treats. They do custom cake and cookie orders, but no more lunch. Just be aware before you go. It's still worth it for their baked goods, but if you're doing it on your lunch, plan to eat elsewhere on Route 66. But stop by and grab you a sweet treat still!

This little bakery will have you questioning how you ever lived without it upon first bite. I'm not a sweets fan by far, but let me tell you that every time I enter those doors, I have exorcize every ounce of self control. The macaroons are something that dreams are made of, I don't know how she does it, but to say they are amazing is a harsh understatement. I have ordered two cherry cheesecakes from her and to be completely transparent, I'm not the cherry fan, however upon first bite I almost fought my boyfriend for his cheesecake. I also ordered a cake from her for a birthday party, it was perfect for our theme and I have never had anything better. The buttercream was perfection and the chocolate cake was moist and perfect flavor. If you're looking for anything custom that stands tiers above the rest, look no further for you have found it. Hop in and say hello to these wonderful ladies and get a sweet that transports your tastebuds to a world of wonder and magic.

The Eatery on Route 66 is one of my favorite places in Amarillo, and honestly the food is some of the best I've had anywhere. The owner's culinary skills are like magic no matter what she makes - from baked treats to hearty meals. It's a family shop, with her mom usually running the counter. Everyone is always so friendly and accommodating you feel warm before you sit down to eat.On our most recent visit I had the Silence of the Hams Wrap and my partner went with Mom's Chicken Salad Sammy. The wrap is Canadian bacon, bacon bits, muenster cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing, and it's portioned so the flavors blend perfectly without anything overpowering the palate. It's so smooth on its own, but dipping it in the tangy tomato basil soup puts it at another level. The chicken salad is signature chicken, onion, celery, dill pickles, mayo and lettuce on a homemade bun for a very hearty sammy. Keep an eye out for daily specials and Saturday brunch specials. Everything I've had here has been a foodie delight. On top of yummy lunches, the bakery case is always full of sweet treats. We went on Pi Day and tried a variety of pies. The buttermilk was the type of dessert one dreams about with such melt-in-your mouth comfort. Whether as a treat for yourself, a post-meal dessert, or getting a dozen to share, the cookies, macarons, and other treats are always a hit. I believe you can custom order as well. The Eatery on Route 66 is a must try for any foodie.Parking: The parking lot can be a bit awkward with the shape of the property. It's easier to enter on the west side, near the front door of the Nat, to angle better into spots.

Nice brunch/lunch at the end of a 6th St that appears to be upscaling somewhat since our last visit. Excellent grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and jam. Friendly staff, welcoming to all as far as I could tell.

We loved everything we got from here! The quiche and tomato soup were AMAZING ? and then of course all the goodies, we had to get a huge box to take back to San Antonio with us ❤️ The fruity Pebbles macaroon was my favorite check them out!

Wow!!! This place has changed hands so many times that I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered a sandwich but I received a piece of art! The roll was fresh, the spinach artichoke dip homemade, piled high with meats, fresh veggies, grilled to perfection. The chips were also homemade, sliced thin and marry well with the dip. The staff were courteous and quick. I should've taken a picture of the food...highly recommend!!!

I almost hate to tell people about the Eatery, because they will come and get all the great baked goods before I can get there. THIS IS THE BEST BAKERY IN TOWN! Trust me, you can't go wrong here. The staff is kind, the atmosphere is fun, and the food is dynamite!
