Volcano Korean BBQ & Sushi (all you can eat)

The food was great we celebrated my daughter's 21 birthday and the people were awesome they played a birthday song and gave my daughter a big piece of fried cheese cake we had fun

We visited Volcano Korean BBQ in Amarillo with a group of five, and while the atmosphere was lively and the overall vibe fun, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations — especially for the price.

The appetizers and sushi were actually very good — fresh, well-prepared, and probably the highlight of the meal. But once we got to the main grill, things became a bit underwhelming. The meats had very little seasoning or flavor, and there weren’t really any cooking sauces provided beyond soy. We were expecting something closer to a hibachi-style flavor — bold, savory, maybe some marinades or dipping sauces — but it just wasn’t there.

Also, for a party of five, the grill space felt cramped. It became a bit of a juggling act trying to cook enough for everyone without overloading the grill or burning anything. It was more cumbersome than enjoyable at that point.

Maybe I was expecting something different from Korean BBQ, but for what we paid, I was hoping for more flavor and a smoother group cooking experience. Great service and fun setting, but probably better suited for smaller groups — or if you stick to the apps and sushi.

Our server Drew was awesome. We had never been here before and he was perfect!

food is fair, but our server made things awkward when she decided to start taking scissors to our food and started removing items from the grill as one person in our group likes their meat done, well done, appreciate her concern, but dont touch my food.

The food is marginal.

Went here tonight, and had Lawrence as my server. Dude was great! Made solid recommendations (seriously - the mango jalapeño roll is really good. Sweet, with a low slow subtle burn that is really pleasant). Will def be back when I'm able

My favorite restaurant in Amarillo

This place just about killed me over the weekend! Went in on Wednesday to get some lunch (which I’ve been here numerous times) and it felt a little off. Something about the food wasn’t right. Well I was definitely not wrong. I ended up with aggressive food poisoning right after I ate here. I have never been so sick in my life!!! I was sick for 3 days! I noticed the tempura shrimp that was in my sushi roll didn’t taste like it was just made with the rest of my sushi roll. My wife and I had 2 different things and she didn’t get sick. All I know is if you go here go at your own risk and make sure your food is fresh. Loved this place but I will not be going back ever again. 🤢

The food, the service, and the atmosphere is just nothing i expected and i am very well impressed. My wife and I walked in not knowing what exactly the experience would be, but the server explained how it works and was very knowledgable. I definately reccomend this place every time.

5/5 BUT BRING BACK THE RICE CAKES PLEASE ☹️

Waitress Unfortunately, was very uninformed of the English language leading to miscommunication between customer and server. Manager was very respectful and responsible in getting us a refund due to the waitress for mixing foods that we were allergic to. Maybe we’ll return in sooner days, but until then two stars.

Our waiter, Lawrence was awesome - patient, generous, and kind. Will return.
