My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Joyce Carter, a very sweet lady. After our lunch she came over to our table and asked us if everything was okay with our meals? It was very good and delicious. The best part of our visit was talking to her. She was very delightful. Since we are fairly new in the area she was so kind to give us a little history of her restaurant and some inside scoop on Anahuac, Texas.
We will definitely go back to eat there but we also look forward to seeing and talking to her again.

Arrived before 8 am. Girl behind counter and lady in kitchen noticed we arrived. Sat down. Over 5 minutes nobody greeted or came to the table. The girl with red hair had sour look on face like not wanted to be there. As we left they finally said Morning. Too little too late. Only one table with people in there.

The burger was GREAT.. but tater tots had a strange taste to me... not sure if it was the oil..or the brand. I tried to eat them.. but we didn't care for them at

Y'all. You have to stop by here. Yes, they have unusual business hours and a limited menu (sometimes they have a buffet, sometimes not). But the food is worth it. Anahuac is a small town and if you blink, you'll miss it - but this is pretty awesome southern comfort type food.Also, they knew we were bummed they didn't have boudain balls prepped - they went and got the ingredients while we waited for the rest of our food and they still got everything to a table of six in a timely manner!! What?! They were so kind. Even if their food was gross, I would go back just for the service. Such good humans - that's hard to find.
