Giovanni's Italian Kitchen

This is a restaurant for people who say "Eye-talian", and think Ragu is authentic.

I’ve been coming to Giovanni’s for many years and it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Brazoria county. The food is excellent and every server I’ve had has been great. I love the tomato Basil soup and the lasagna. This review is specifically based on my experience last weekend with some notes from previous experiences. This is a small restaurant so it is quite a bit crowded. My partner loves the filet mignon and it was phenomenal as usual. I decided to try something new and got the Alaskan salmon with lump crabmeat and shrimp Alfredo; the meal was delicious but I do have to say the salmon is smothered in sauce for those that may not like that. (Based on past experiences) The pizzas here are amazing! From this visit and past visits, on a negative note, the alcoholic beverages are portioned very lightly and there is some stinginess it seems. A group of my friends and I had ordered Italian margaritas & were not satisfied with them, my friend complained but I found the drink to be tolerable. This past visit I was very disappointed in the portioning of my glass of Pinot Grigio, there was barely any in the glass!!! This opinion is based upon being a worker in the restaurant industry that has served drinks & that not only wants my customers to enjoy their food, but also their drinks. Besides that, this restaurant is excellent and I will always recommend it to anyone that wants somewhere good to eat.

We have not been here in two years. We were there last night in our waitress was Raven. I recommend asking for her. She’s very attentive, was able to get everything that we needed to our table in a timely manner and checked on us. Do know that the place was very busy. You can tell that she has experience and patient . Raven did recommend different items off the appetizers and we went with the Fritz raviolis if I said it correctly loved it. Thank you again. We will be back.

Slow service was an understatement…. More like No Service…. My wife and I tried to eat here for our 25th Anniversary, made reservation for 11.20.2024. Was seated and that’s about it…. We watched everyone that came in after us get service, tables directly beside us…. They never even took our drink order…. So after 35min or so we said to hell with it and left…. With their prices, service should be top notch!!! Extremely disappointed, won’t go back.

Always a pleasant experience! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the service is always great. It's a great place for a quiet date night or a family dinner.

Our experience for our first time here was great! Gaby was our waitress & very knowledgable about the food and provided good suggestions. We had dinner & drinks for 2. It was a bit too small of a space but overall loved it.

My wife and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary here recently. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Service was great, everything else, no so much.

Because this place is so small and people never learned volume control, it feels like there is always someone screaming in your ear when it's busy. It also feels pretty cramped inside.

The food is okay, but the cooks don't know how to make a steak clearly and then complained when they had to remake it. Ended up having my food replaced with a different dish because they couldn't figure it out in the kitchen and the replacement was okay at best. Honestly should have ordered the pizza again, because it was great last time we went.

Food was good. Seasoning was needed to bring out more of the food’s flavor.(salt). Server was great. Sat outside. Table cloth needed to be replaced. Chairs as well. 2 adult meals, 1 child’s meal and a bottle of wine. $90. Can’t come here every week. Maybe a couple times a year.

One the best Italian food you will have in the area guaranteed. Fresh cooking for sure. Small bar area sitting also nice. Have been here few times and very consistent and recommend.
