Lets start with the positives, you do get enjoy seeing the airplane's taken off and land. Now for my order, 8 Buffalo wings($9), you only get Buffalo flavor sauce and it comes in maybe a 4oz cup maybe and the same portion or ranch dressing. The wings are not shook in the sauce before serving. My food arrived with 7 very small wings laying on a leaf of lettuce. I would have gladly chose my due wings over the leaf of lettuce. Now added with a coke ordered with no ice and brought with ice. Not super pleased total was a little over $17 with out the tip. I will be stopping at Buckeys before visiting there. P.S. you can still watch the plans from the parking lot.

It was okay. The price you pay compared to the food you get was alright but not completely worth it. Ordered the pork chop which was served with dirty rice and veggies. The pork chop itself was to tough to chew and was 30 percent bone. Plus they took forever to get one of our plates out.

The price of the food does not reflect the quality. My grandmother couldn't eat her chicken fried steak because it did not taste right and the gravy did not look like gravy. I would usually have said something but the waitress was so nice I did not have the heart to tell her that this is probably the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant. It was cool watching the planes outside though

Worst experience at a restaurant we took the kids there to see the airplanes which they did, but the waitress kept rushing us and when we got our food, it was cold and it tasted like frozen food, like out of the freezer section at a grocery store frozen type food not fresh food and not worth the price when we went to go pay I paid and right after I paid she said that I owe her nine more dollars after my check had already cleared, and I owed her nine more dollars for sodas that I had already paid for on the original receipt was definitely not worth $70 when all we got was two orders of buffalo wings a order of three chicken strips a kids, shrimp plate, a side salad and a crabcake Will not be returning

Restaurantji Recommends
Stopped in as I had read about this place in a couple aviation related social media site, and even though I wasn’t flying in, we did stop on the way back from the beach. Enjoyed the food which was fresh and well portioned, service was excellent. Menu is tropical seafood for the region but also had s9me interesting Asian dishes! Would recommend, especially to any pilots looking for a great food stop!
Pad thai is a solid choice here. Only complaint is that the owner/chef makes his rounds thru the dining room wanting to talk and ask questions while you're trying to eat.
I stopped by The Runway Café in Angleton recently, and I’ve got to say, it’s a hidden gem that more people need to know about. I ordered a classic cheeseburger, and it absolutely hit the spot. You could taste the difference with the fresh, real beef patty, nothing frozen or processed here. The burger dressings were crisp and fresh, adding the perfect crunch and flavor to each bite.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The café itself was spotless, and the clean, cozy atmosphere made for a really comfortable dining experience.
What really sets this place apart is the view! It's not every day you get to enjoy a meal while watching airplanes start up and take off just a few yards away. Sitting there with a great burger and watching the runway action made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I definitely plan to come back and try more of the menu. If you’re in the area and looking for good food with a unique view and outstanding service, The Runway Café is well worth the visit. This place is truly a hidden gem.
