“Pretty good taco truck in the area! I got the quesabirria plate and one gordita campechana. The quesabirrias were filled with plenty of meat (some taco trucks tend to skimp out) but it was lacking in seasonings. It was a bit bland buuuuut those salsas were SO good it made up for it. The red one was really spicy and the green one was creamy plus had good flavor. The consomé was also pretty bomb and not oily like some other places. I would defs get this plate again. Now on to the gordita, I don’t know about y’all but I’m used to only having meat, cheese, and beans in my gorditas so this one threw me off in the best way possible. It had lettuce, queso fresco, and sour cream. At first I didn’t know what to think from appearance alone, but that first bite was so crispy and flavorful that I was immediately hooked. I had never had a variation like this one and I’m definitely a fan. You def have to check this place out - will be coming again in the future!“

“Due to the bad weather, the park where we planned our family reunion and sons birthday party closed because of flooding. I spoke with Andy and Shafa at La Cocina de Sam, who has wonderful food to assist with preparing food for 20+ people. We ordered pizza's, wings, and chicken tenders (excellent prices and great food). I also ordered a burrito bowl which my niece said it was better than Chipotle. All of the food was a great hit, especially the Mango Habanero wings. Food went so fast, I didn't have time to take pictures. Thank you to the friendly and wonderful staff for making son's party a success.“

Every dish was packed with incredible flavor, and the portion sizes were more than generous—definitely come hungry! “Amazing discovery while on the road. Stopped for some gas and stayed for the food! You are welcomed and served delicious, authentic food by a very nice man. The salsa roja is spicy and smokey, the salsa Verde has a kick and is very fresh. While I was ordering, they were busy cutting fresh meat for the next batch. A full plate and a drink for 10 bucks a person. What a deal! ???

“in the parking lot behind a chain link fence, the truck is lit up with colored LED's. DELICIOUS tacos. I ordered two chicharron tacos and ended up getting 3 more plus a quesa birria. their consomme is light yet rich, and the meat in the birria was tender and silky. Legit food. We will be back.“

“We stayed at a hotel across the street and this isn't the greatest part of town so we weren't expecting much. However, the service was great especially considering they only had one server. Our server was makin' drinks (which were very good) and servin' food which was surprisingly good. Really my only issue is that it was a bit pricey but hard to complain when the service and food were really quite good.“

“Generally I thought this was a good place to eat they had good food and they had great service the thing I liked the most about this place was the packaging of the food and the presentation and then on top of that the food was prepared very quickly and to a high degree of quality. So I would recommend going to this place if you live nearby and our craving good quality chicken fast food in a comfortable and clean restaurant setting.“

“Ordered a pastor quesadilla and it was great. The pastor was very flavorful and the quesadilla was LOADED with meat and cheese. Both salsas were packed with flavor and just a slight amount of kick. Service was quick and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend checking Texi Taco out. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“
