If you're looking for some of the best Tex-Mex in Arlington, Cafe Acapulco is a must-visit! This family-run gem is owned by a former US Army soldier, and you can tell he puts his heart into everything here. The beef fajitas are honestly the best we’ve had in ages – so tender and flavorful! Their house frozen margaritas are perfect, too, especially on a warm evening.

We love sitting on their awesome covered patio, and they always welcome our pup with a bowl of water. The care and quality that go into every dish really stand out, making it feel worlds apart from any chain. If you’re craving amazing food, a relaxed vibe, and genuine hospitality, Cafe Acapulco should be at the top of your list!

came here for the first time about a week ago on a tuesday evening. upon walking in i was not only surprised at the size and ambience of the place, but was greeted with kindness by the host.
both the host and my server (hate that I didn't get names) were so accommodating. the spot I chose to sit was next to a window in which the sun was shining through. At first I didn't mind it, but it began to set as I sat and they both made it point to check on my comfort simply for that, in which they were totally ok with letting down the shades for me.
Both food and drink menu are full of treats, and luckily I made it on time for happy hour in which the drinks were delicious (passion fruit mojito was absolutely delicious).
I can't wait to come back here. It's not the closest spot but it's not too far and I truly feel I chose this place for a reason in my search. Will GLADLY return.

Café Acapulco is easily one of my favorite spots in Arlington! Jose’s hospitality and the friendly staff make every visit a pleasure. Their frozen margaritas are simply unbeatable – the perfect way to cool off on a Hot-Texas day. The Mexican food is flavorful and authentic, and the covered patio adds to the laid-back vibe. The service is always exceptional, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. If you’re in Arlington and looking for fantastic food and drinks, Café Acapulco is the place to be!

We liked this place for quick, inexpensive Mexican but it has really gone downhill recently. Missing entrees, lack of consistent ingredients and an incredibly rude manager have forced us to make a change. Beans are good but management with no motivation for issue resolution are a no can do.

Never ever again. Second time, worse than the first. Just awful, not good on any level. They have good chips.

My wife and I came here for dinner and let me tell you all of the food was good. Their flank steak however was phenomenal. I'd come here just for that. In my own opinion hands down best Mexican food in Arlington.

Chips are not good, salsa is old and separating, black bean dip is bland. Ordered carne asada and was disappointed in the freezer burned steak that was not the size stated on the menu, fries were twice fried in under temp grease and were overcooked and soggy, ketchup was also old and separated in the bottle. On a positive note the margarita was good and server was friendly. Maybe a good spot to grabs drinks but stay away from the food

How is this place not packed all the time? The food is OUTSTANDING!!! I have liked everything I've eaten here. Gotta try the street tacos! You like it spicy, put that green avocado sauce on it....fire!!! Very reasonably priced! I will hate it if I walk in and I have to wait like other restaurants, but it would very well deserved! If you are in the area and you like Mexican or Salvadoran ....THIS is the place to go! Should be on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

We've been eating at Cafe Acapulco since 1990 and have always enjoyed our experience. The new Salvadorian side of the menu is a must try. I think we've tried everything on the menu. Taco Tuesday is our favorite day to go.

We visited on Good Friday after our church service. The service was excellent and the food, delicious. I decided to try something different, I always get the same thing when we eat Mexican food and the papusas and black rice and beans did not disappoint. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. The owner came to our table and we enjoyed visiting with him for a few minutes. All in all, an awesome dining experience.
