I recently had an experience I was not happy with so I spoke with the owners and expressed my concerns.
The problem is not the focus here the big thing for me was how they handled it. I felt appreciated as a customer and that they truly wanted me to be happy.
I will certainly continue to be a customer.

Had a great time at the cookie decorating class! The teacher was very knowledgeable and helpful. Her modeling really helped. I think I did pretty good for my first attempt at decorating sugar cookies!!

I love the materials they carry but customer service is nonexistent. I asked about cake and cookie decorating classes. I was directed to a piece of paper towards the front of the store, nothing else. Because of customer service, I thought, "Would I receive the correct training with a professional instructor?" The layout of the store is organized. I wish the customer service was better and the person I encountered was more knowledgeable. After looking over reviews the Richardson location is the one to go to.

I purchased 2 spots in a cookie class a couple of years ago for me and my bestie. I live over 2 hours away but was excited to learn a new hobby. The weather turned bad and the store cancelled the class. I finally found a class that would work for us and just prior to the class tragedy struck. My besties 24 year old son was killed in a freak accident. I called the store to explain. I was told no problem and could reschedule at a later date. When I decided to take someone else the store had stopped doing a mid-day class making it hard to go to an early class and the later class put me driving well after dark. I talked with several workers at the store and was always told no problem they had the note that I had paid. I even went in one day to buy supplies for my grandbabies shower. I was told that the owner was unreachable to approve just using the money for supplies. I finally decided to bite the bullet and leave home at the crack of dawn and attend a class. I called the store and they said they would have to talk to the owner and call me back. They did not. I called again and I was told the owner had not been in. I waited a couple more days and called again. I was told that the owner had said it was too long ago and would not honor the fact that I had already paid for the class. I am really disappointed that the owner decided that was the way to go after all the attemps on my part to use the credit and the stores assurance that they knew I had paid.
Warning for buyers: This store uses Galaxy Dust in their cookie decorating class and sells it (and Disco dust) as a consumable. Galaxy Dust and Disco Dust is decorative glittery and not meant to be ingested. The manufacturer, Confectionary Arts International, states "Disco Dust® is classified as “non-toxic for decoration only”. Although they are non-toxic, they are not a food product and should not be considered as such." When I pointed out to the owner that Galaxy dust isn't edible (after he sold it to me as such) he said, "It's Non-Toxic." That's it- that was his reasoning for selling plastic glitter as edible. What?! Non-Toxic doesn't mean you should eat it. Please don't eat plastic glitter. Luster dust, petal dust, and Jewel dust (which has a glitter) ARE edible, according to CAI's website. The cookie class was great. Just don't use the glitter.
The young ladies were very helpful, especially showing my how to use my sugar printout. I will return for my baking needs.
Do you know if they sell broken heart hammers there?
Great service!
Super ❤️
In all the many years and money I've spent here. I was treated like TRASH! by an associate today. (An older hispanic lady i think she wears a visor) the products I was purchasing was on the counter, she provided my total I pulled put cash and placed on counter, then she asked will it be card/cash i said cash and the money was on counter (exact change) then she says, I'm over here come over here. First of all, I'm not a child and you never said ill help you over here, (a side register) she then asked a man that was already being helped waiting on something before she made sure to complete my transaction. I let her know I'm not moving and not to talk to like she did. She told me I was rude out loud to where others could observe. She continued back and forth with me word for word. i let her know thats not what good customer service was about she continued to be rude and combative and sarcastic until I exited the store. I couldn't believe my experience. I'll have to go to Richardson to get a great experience. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!Pretty much All the brands can be purchased online...I'll purchase direct from now on it's much cheaper. Amazon carries just about everything.

I spent 40 on what I thought was "edible" luster dust. The cashier suggested the one behind the register she said it was more pigmented and she use it all the time. After I purchased it I noticed on the bottle it states "non edible". I thought I could get a refund because the seal is still on and haven't been used however I couldn't because something they made up which it didn't state in the refund policy. I wish the guy (the owner I think) was there he usually help me out. I don't think I will ever be returning. I previously rated 3 stars due to the ladies always gathered around talking, not acknowledging customer when entering and this happened on multiple occasions.
I visit this store as a last resort. 1) its overpriced. 2) Some of the ladies act like it pains them to provide any type of customer service. 3) They’re always gossiping and cussing, which fine we all love some chisme but maybe while theres no customers in store. You should hear what they have to say about you Richard. In the past i have bought bags of their Merckens chocolate- mostly no issue. However, the past 2 times ive purchased the Merckens chocolate has been horrible. I can only assume that the batches that they have out have gone bad. Ive worked with Merckens for years now even through their formula changes and never had an issue this bad.
Cookie decorating class was awesome
Very good place to buy everything related to pastries and cookies. Very organized and the employees very helpful and attentive to everything the client wanted.
My experience today was top tier! Down to the sprinkles! Thanks for making my day, one to never be forgotten.
