Looks nice... haven't tried the food...yet

This place is fantastic! Two friends of mine took me there, as I am always in the mood for some good Lebanese food, and the food was spot on AWESOME! We started with some appetizers, hummus, labne with garlic, and the falafel, and they were great! The falafel had the perfect crunch to it on the outside and yet was moist and juicy on the inside! The hummus was good, nothing special but not over-killed as you find in some other places where you can't taste chickpeas and are mostly having garlicky-tahine... And the labne was delicious! Couple all of these with delicious, sliced pita that was served warm.... YUM! On to the main course, we just decided to order their sandwiches, and we ended up having the lamb kafta and the chicken shawarma... The kafta was to die for! Possibly the best kafta i had in the US, it was very well seasoned, and very flavorful! The chicken shawarma was also pretty good, although a bit too citrusy, but we still enjoyed both sandwiches. Delicious meal, great service, i am DEFINITELY coming back, and i suggest you should too!

I stopped here for takeout the other day, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. I really liked the soups (creamy chicken and lentil), the hummus was good, the rice was good (which surprised me, because usually when the rice looks yellow I end up not liking it, but it actually had a nice flavor). The chicken schwarma was pretty mediocre though, a little dry, and the pita was cold and rock hard which really was the biggest issue I had. The lady at the counter was very nice and the decor inside was nicer than I was expecting. But, with bad pitas and mediocre meat there are definitely better options in town.

Step aside little Yelpers. Make room for the L33T... We tell the TRUTH!! These other reviews are from Yelpers who have only 2 or 3 reviews under their belt. Sure, everyone has to start somewhere... but it wouldn't surprise me if they were friends or relatives of the owners of this place. Comon, one person reviewed the place last July and hasn't written a single review since. So excuse me for being a little skeptical. Unfortunately, it's too late. I tried the place tonight of all nights: Valentines Day. It turned out to be a bad choice and now I'm in the DOG HOUSE!! The truth of the matter is, this is NOT a very good restaurant. The girl who was there taking orders and serving food was VERY sweet and attentive, but the food just wasn't very good and it was extremely overpriced. My wife got a Gyro plate and I got the meat plate. Both came with a greek salad which was LOADED with feta. Although that is a plus, it didn't make up for the meat that followed. The meat that came with both of our meals was BONE DRY. And when I say DRY, I mean, not a molecule of moisture. On top of that, the meats were so mildly seasoned it was hard to tell the difference between them other than the fact that mine was shredded and hers was sliced. I couldn't even get my mouth to produce enough saliva to compensate for the dryness. For our two plates, a chicken tenders dinner for the kids and 4 lemonades ($3.95 each!!!??), the grand total was a whopping $51 + tip = $61. I gave a good tip because it wasn't the girls fault. But seriously, I feel ripped off.

This place has great food, even for vegetarians/seafood lovers. We started with hummus - great flavor, very smooth and creamy. Came with lots of fluffy, slightly crispy pitas. My wife had falafels for dinner which she said were excellent. I got the grilled Pomfrey, which was a masterpiece - tender and juicy but with bold smoky flavor. I have never had better grilled fish. It comes whole, head bones and all, so if you're freaked out by that I would try the salmon or something instead - these people clearly know how to make amazing fish. My only gripe is the turkish coffee is a little too pricy at $3.99 per cup with no option to get a decanter for sharing. It was delicious though, and the food was quite reasonably priced so overall it didn't matter much. Just so I am not confusing anyone - the menu is really mostly beef, chicken, etc.. I just happen to be a fish nut :)

Good food, friendly staff. Hope it lasts longer than others that have tried in this location.

Much better than the Middle Eastern place previously in this spot. Friendly service, good food, generous portions. I hope it lasts longer than the plethora of restaurants that have died here.

I like this place! It was quiet (although we were the only ones there) and the food is really interesting and very tasty. We ordered a variety of items for our little crowd to share and everyone liked everything. The prices for dinners are around $10 to $15, and you get plenty to eat with choice of a soup or salad (the soups are excellent!) and large, full plates many couples could easily share, especially with one of their many affordable appetizers. You may wish to ask to omit the jalapeno peppers on your dinner if you're particularly sensitive to spicy food. I found I could just push them aside and they left a nice flavor behind, but the hint of hot spice that remained on some bites was a little much for some of the kids in our group. My only regret was not that we ordered too much food, but that my kids ate the leftovers before I could have any. Marwa (pronounced mahd-uh-wah?) , our server, was very sweet and took good care of us. And it's BYOB, so you can bring your own alcoholic beverage if you wish. The atmosphere is quaint and plain, which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I will definitely be going back, next time with a bottle of my favorite beer. I hope you'll try it based upon this review. I really want these folks to stay in business! They seem like nice folks and the food is great!
