Look, I love this place; I have been coming here for about 25 years. Currently, the sweet bread (pan) is decent at best. The pink cake, which once motivated me to happily make a 30 mile pilgrimage, is now often dry and sloppily iced. There was a time when the bread was impeccably prepared, but unfortunately the quality of the bread has made a steady decline over the years.
Stopped in and ordered the barbacoa tacos plate, and I can honestly say these were some of the best barbacoa tacos I've ever had. The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh cilantro and onions paired perfectly with the tacos, and the rice and beans were excellent as well. Everything tasted fresh and homemade.
If you're a fan of authentic Mexican food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be coming back...

I absolutely LOVED Marquez Bakery. The folks were amazing, and everything I had was delicious. We had some breakfast tacos, muffins, sugar cookies, and I would get it all again. Fantastic prices too.
