We absolutely love this place, but have no idea what's going on and why it's closed. I can't find any information as to why it's closed, or if it's ever going to reopen!

Tong’s Mongolian Grill has closed its doors permanently. There are several City of Arlington violations and citations on the door, with orders to close until the problems are fixed… they were pretty serious problems like proper lack of drainage in the kitchen, a backed-up/inoperable grease trap and something else. The sign on the door says it’s closed due to problems with the A/C… and that was 3-4 months ago. I’d say we have seen the last of what was a great legacy of restaurants starting with it originally being just Ton’s Mongolian Grill and not Tong’s with a “g” up the road at Sublett and Cooper, before it moved to Green Oaks and Cooper and then finally changing names to the “g”-thing. Bye bye, we’ll miss you!

I’m pretty sure this place is not going to open back up! It’s been closed since July, and it says due to repairs but no one is ever there! Very disappointed! One of our favorite places!

Love the food and the staff! When is it supposed to open back up? I’ve been craving the food for ages!

Watch those Togo plates because the price can get up there, but hands down my favorite Mongolian restaurant without a doubt!

Been eating at this place for over 20 years. Always consistent service. The true day one foodies of this place get it, if your a ( I just happen to stop at this place eater) this place is not for you, try Panda Express. If you know portion control /seasoning and flavor types this place is Awesome. Tong's OG's see you there!!!

Fast easy takeout for lunch at work. It's a good place to load up on fresh veggies and as little or as much meat as you choose. They have the option to weigh your food for your custom take out meal.

We have been to this location since they reopened and since it is the closest we have gone back several times, they are NEVER busy at lunch, the meat choices remain the same, the vegetable choices change without warning, none of the sauces are labled so they are readable. The food area is clean, there are alot of boxes and clutter in the area of the grill, visible to the guests, the restrooms are not fit to be used. There is only one waitress who grabs the plates when she thinks you are done eating, never asks if you are finsihed and when she speaks you can not understand what she is saying. They have signs saying no to go containers yet today we saw her give 3 customers containers after they had sat down and started to eat, yet when I asked for one we were told there are no to go containers allowed - after my husband commented that the 3 other guests (who were people of color) were given large containers she brought us a small hamburger size container. THEN we went to pay - 4 adults, 3 ice water, 1 ice tea and the bill was acceptable TILL WE SAW THAT A 20% tip had been added and we were asked if we wanted to leave an additional tip! We had left a tip on the table as per our normal custom and my daughter went back and picked it up before the table was cleared - the server did nothing but bring us our drinks and grabbed our plates when we appeared to be finished. They have a tip jar at the grill and several cooks will point to it when you get you meal - who is the tip for that is billed automatically - the guy who sits in the corner behind the cash register and takes your money? They have seen the last of us - the location in Mansfield was great but they closed during COVID - they made sure you had drink refills, brought you your choce of ice cream when you were finished and did not force you to pay an inflated tip, we have NEVER been offered refills or ice cream at this location. We will confirm that other locations we find do not have the same practices as this mess has.

Tong's is one of our all-time favorites. Plenty of choices and some desserts makes the meal totally customizable. Plenty of seating makes large groups and families have seating choices. We miss the ice cream option and labeling on food choices but still a great place.

Bowls were dirty. Leak in restroom. Gnats over food. French fries cold...However... food taste great hot and fast. Staff is the best!

Fresh food and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Food is frozen and fresh on a buffet line. There is a mixture of sauces to add to your bowl or plate of food to take to the grill. Once you're at the grill, you can ask for rice, white or fried, and add eggs. I always tip the grill master making my food. They make the food fresh in front of you to take back to your table. There is a dessert table, soup, and a waiter to serve drinks or remove your dirty dishes.

I went to the Mansfield Tong’s location!! The younger Hispanic cook was very rude, when asking for my bowl, he snatched it from my hand. I went to the table after he cooked my food, my shrimp wasn’t done, when my husband asked him to re-make it, he tried to argue speaking in spanish, that it was done, until I called the manager over and showed him the uncooked shrimp and he walked away!! This was my second time eating there, I will not return!!

Horrible service, prices are too high and they automatically add a 20% tip when the waitress did absolutely nothing but give us an attitude with everything we asked for. Ice cream machine was broken. Everyone was rude. Wouldn't refill empty vegetables when we asked. Horrible!!! One of our favorites but will never return again.

Went at 7pm on Monday. They close at 9:30 pm. Walked in and was greeted with the waitress pointing out that the price went up. There was only the two of us and one other man on the restaurant. A third of the ingredients on the buffet were empty. Asked for more to be brought out. They said they had run out of all them. It was as if they didn't want to prep any to bring out . The food was over cooked and dry. When paying the pointed out higher price we told waitress of dissatisfaction. Her response was she will tell the manager Wednesday. Two days later !!. No apology. She just kept reaching for our credit. You couldn't pay me to go back.
