We were traveling through and needed a decent breakfast. Athens Cafe was well-rated, plus offered Tex-Mex breakfast. There were mostly locals eating American-style breakfasts, but they didn't know what they were missing! The waitstaff was fantastic, friendly and attentive. My son is picky when it comes to breakfast tacos, but he gobbled his up. I had one of the huevos plates, and it was delicious. If we are back this time of day, we won't miss Athens Cafe.

What HAPPENED! Our standard 24 dollar breakfast is now THIRTY EIGHT dollars in just a few weeks! 75 cent surcharge PER EGG. That makes eggd at $9..00.per dozen SURCHARGE! And look at service fees!!

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns regarding an experience my husband and I had at your café on April 5, 2025 (transaction # 312886). As this was our fifth visit, we were looking forward to our meal; however, I regret to inform you that it will be our last. While it is understandable that my husband's breakfast arrived first, my order was not only delayed but also served on a chipped plate. By the time my waffles were presented, my husband had nearly completed his meal. Although I could have overlooked the delay, the customer service we received was unsatisfactory and uncharacteristic of hospitality standards. Additionally, the condition of the table and the condiments was unacceptable. When I requested syrup, the server provided me with a sticky bottle taken from a recently vacated table. As a professional individual, I hold establishments like yours to high standards of service and cleanliness. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect this. Furthermore, when the server brought the chipped plate to our table, she noticed the chip had fallen onto the surface but failed to address the situation in a meaningful way. This lack of attention to detail raises concerns about both safety and customer service. Even during our payment process, the cashier's demeanor was impersonal and did not convey a welcoming atmosphere. I hope that you will take this feedback into consideration and implement improvements in order to retain your customer base.

Food was great. Biscuits are really good. After ordering we saw the buffet. The buffet is not on the menu or posted anywhere. It was also not mentioned by the wait staff. We were on a time crunch and it would have been nice to know about it.
The three stars are more about the bathrooms. They do not allow you to put toilet paper in the women’s toilets. We are there at 7:30 in the morning and both stalls had full trash cans. Obviously it had not been taken out the night before. That I found really gross. It also should be in some sort of can can where you do not have to look at everyone else’s waste. Bathrooms need more attention through out the day and not neglected.

Food is trash here. Ordered a Belgium pancake with blueberries in it and lets just say pancake is the smallest pancake I have ever seen and the blueberries do not come in it. Food was bland and was not very tasty. Quite disappointed that I spent $30 bucks here for our breakfast.
