“New favorite stop in Athens.”

“Today I went to have lunch with my husband and toddler son. He’s autistic. He was stemming and kicking the bench and the elderly couple sitting next to us got annoyed. The gentleman got up to tell us to tell our son to stop kicking. He asked very annoyed and in a rude manner. I did not reply. Then I explained to our sweet waitress that our son is autistic and the kicking was stemming and is more noticeable because he has AFOs on. She apologized for them and I asked her if she could just move us because I don’t expect everyone will understand unless they have a loved one with special needs. She did, and we had a lovely dinner and she was so sweet and the manager gave us a discount on top of that. They did not have to and yet they did. They took care of the situation discreetly and we were able to continue to enjoy our meal. Thank you so much for kindness , compassion, incredible service❤️ and delicious food”

“We stopped in while visiting Athens for the day. The place was recommended by my boyfriend’s coworker. There was nothing fancy about the dining area but the food was soooooo good! The homemade yellow queso was incredible as well as the salsa. We ordered gorditas and the chile rellenos and both were delicious!! 😋 A young man waited on us and they were very attentive and kind. The food was hot and fresh! We will be back for sure!”

“Okay so the vegan cakes here are amazing. Give them two days notice and they could make it happen- the longer advance notice the better. The best cake hands down, vegan included, is the butterrum cake with vanilla frosting. For $3 they can add writing to it. $30 for a small cake I think (it’s not actually small). The cake decorator is heavily relied on and without her, seems like orders could get backed up. I would say this is the best vegan cake I have ever had and I have had many to be honest.

It is sweet, it’s a cake but it’s moist light fluffy- amazing butterrum flavor. Just make sure to brush your teeth after.

The owners have done vegan catering for some sort of animal sanctuary or something I think they mentioned. My point is that they are experienced at vegan accommodations and know how to do them.

However, I do not really order anything else from them.

The shop is quieter so it is good for reading at. The latte is good when made by the cake decorator specifically if you don’t order sweetener. Sometimes sweetener in coffee is easy to overdo.

The five stars in this review is for the cake. It is that good. The service is five starts because they are all kind and are willing to make accommodations. Also five stars for service because the cake decorator communicated directly with me about whether they are able to take a cake order on short notice.

I came into town and unexpectedly found out I had to leave in a day rather than a week as I originally planned. I called to ask if it was possible to place an order for the cupcakes butterrum with vanilla frosting vegan for pick up the next day. The cake decorator directly told me that it was not possible due to the short notice and I loved the direction communication so much. Very professional.

She called back a few minutes later and let me know that they have a vegan butterum cake that they could ice for me and have ready for pick up the next day if I wanted a cake instead. That was also a happy turn of events.

If you’re ordering a cake at all in Athens, it really should be from here. I put my mom and dad onto this place and now they order all celebratory cakes from here.

My parents also told me that they met a couple who every year order a butterrum cake with vanilla frosting for the husband’s birthday.

“Definitely recommend After hearing so many good things about this place, I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed to find out that they closed at 8:00 pm, but was pleasantly surprised when the owners offered to sell me roasted chicken, aguas fresa, and tortillas flour and corn even after closing hours. The owners were incredibly sweet and generous, and I ended up getting roasted chicken and corn tortillas. I can't wait to go back and try the full menu and experience the friendly and welcoming atmosphere again. The owners of this joint truly go above and beyond for their customers.”

“I was so pleased with the cookies and cake pops from Treehouse Cupcakes for my daughter's 2nd birthday! Not only were they absolutely delicious, but the designs were adorable and the attention to detail was incredible. They called me quickly to confirm the flavors and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it, even asking if there was anything else I needed. “Service nixed what would have been a 5-star review. This location was probably one if the cleanest Braums we've been to in a while. Walked up to the counter to order and 4 employees were all gathered around the drive thru window. Standing there for several minutes without even knowing we walked in the door. I get it... someone cool or famous must have pulled up to the window. Maybe some famous tiktok-er....Or maybe not. As the cashier finally decided to come help us, something more important must have pinged her phone and she had to take it out if her pocket and check it before attending to the customers. Order placed and our food came out hot and fresh. Hard to beat a double bacon cheeseburger combo meal for only $9.00. Burgers, fries, drinks and that unlimited Braums sauce were all perfect. Our visit ams experience was almost perfect.”

“I thought this was a food pantry as I opened the door to go in. It is not. They actually serve to go lunches for the homeless or unfortunate.
The staff were very nice and gave me a bag. So I said thank you and ate it in my car. Rice with beans, hotdogs and good seasoning, a baloney sandwich, and cake. Thank you all. Lunch tasted great!”

“Despite the mixed reviews, it may have been a bad time for them. I’ve never been here before and order a single entree (jalapeño chicken with lo mein) while waiting for laundry to dry. The lady who works there is kind and the choices are limited. The food I ordered was both delicious and fresh, with lots of flavors and the perfect amount of spice. I will definitely return again!”

“Very good food best Chinese food I’ve had, I got beef sesame mixed vegetables and rice. Rice is complimentary with what I got. The vegetables weren’t plain but perfectly and nicely seasoned had a light sauce, o ordered online eaten in the past here it’s so tasty and nice atmosphere. I ordered online it was pretty quick but not busy so I think it’s why. But the best food I’ve had in a solid minute wished I had one where I live WOULD RECOMMEND. Dishes may seem pricey but they are definitely shareable size. I would say one serving could feed 1-3 people. You could probably order beef sesame, mixed vegetables and with the rice fill up 2 people maybe 3 I payed 24 ish dollars but note I got 2 normal plates not a plate and side. God bless this food”

“Work graveyard shift, every Saturday morning & Sunday morning eat lunch there. Always same order, burger, fries & small drink. The burger is always great, but the fries are different The fries are always hot, but if store is busy the fries are very crispy (Great). But if the is not busy, the fries are still hot. They are very limp & saturated with oil. On these occasions I just throw them away. Don't know why this has held true since May 2022. Frustrating”

“Food was good but it was definitely more fast food and less delicatessen. It had a mixture of a few sandwich selections and hot items like calzones, flatbreads, and salads. The sandwich tasted good and the sourdough bun was thin which I liked. The calzone was more like a pizza taco. It was tasty but definitely not a traditional calzone. We were expecting more deli options. But food came out quick and tasted pretty good.”

“Went in tonight with the wife to enjoy a late night meal… well we got the meal and a show. Guns pulled, bartender holding people back from each other trying to deescalate the situation… cops came, people getting thrown up against trucks and taken to jail… kuddos to the guy behind the bar he held his own… when you need a little snack and a show.. you know where to go.. Friday and Saturday nights are best.. reminded me of Waffle House in south Dallas… 10/10 would recommend!!”
