“Today I went to have lunch with my husband and toddler son. He’s autistic. He was stemming and kicking the bench and the elderly couple sitting next to us got annoyed. The gentleman got up to tell us to tell our son to stop kicking. He asked very annoyed and in a rude manner. I did not reply. Then I explained to our sweet waitress that our son is autistic and the kicking was stemming and is more noticeable because he has AFOs on. She apologized for them and I asked her if she could just move us because I don’t expect everyone will understand unless they have a loved one with special needs. She did, and we had a lovely dinner and she was so sweet and the manager gave us a discount on top of that. They did not have to and yet they did. They took care of the situation discreetly and we were able to continue to enjoy our meal. Thank you so much for kindness , compassion, incredible service❤️ and delicious food“

“Okay so the vegan cakes here are amazing. Give them two days notice and they could make it happen- the longer advance notice the better. The best cake hands down, vegan included, is the butterrum cake with vanilla frosting. For $3 they can add writing to it. $30 for a small cake I think (it’s not actually small). The cake decorator is heavily relied on and without her, seems like orders could get backed up. I would say this is the best vegan cake I have ever had and I have had many to be honest.

It is sweet, it’s a cake but it’s moist light fluffy- amazing butterrum flavor. Just make sure to brush your teeth after.

The owners have done vegan catering for some sort of animal sanctuary or something I think they mentioned. My point is that they are experienced at vegan accommodations and know how to do them.

However, I do not really order anything else from them.

The shop is quieter so it is good for reading at. The latte is good when made by the cake decorator specifically if you don’t order sweetener. Sometimes sweetener in coffee is easy to overdo.

The five stars in this review is for the cake. It is that good. The service is five starts because they are all kind and are willing to make accommodations. Also five stars for service because the cake decorator communicated directly with me about whether they are able to take a cake order on short notice.

I came into town and unexpectedly found out I had to leave in a day rather than a week as I originally planned. I called to ask if it was possible to place an order for the cupcakes butterrum with vanilla frosting vegan for pick up the next day. The cake decorator directly told me that it was not possible due to the short notice and I loved the direction communication so much. Very professional.

She called back a few minutes later and let me know that they have a vegan butterum cake that they could ice for me and have ready for pick up the next day if I wanted a cake instead. That was also a happy turn of events.

If you’re ordering a cake at all in Athens, it really should be from here. I put my mom and dad onto this place and now they order all celebratory cakes from here.

My parents also told me that they met a couple who every year order a butterrum cake with vanilla frosting for the husband’s birthday.
