We were traveling through and needed a decent breakfast. Athens Cafe was well-rated, plus offered Tex-Mex breakfast. There were mostly locals eating American-style breakfasts, but they didn't know what they were missing! The waitstaff was fantastic, friendly and attentive. My son is picky when it comes to breakfast tacos, but he gobbled his up. I had one of the huevos plates, and it was delicious. If we are back this time of day, we won't miss Athens Cafe.
Food was great. Biscuits are really good.
After ordering we saw the buffet. The buffet is not on the menu or posted anywhere. It was also not mentioned by the wait staff. We were on a time crunch and it would have been nice to know about it.
The three stars are more about the bathrooms. They do not allow you to put toilet paper in the women’s toilets. We are there at 7:30 in the morning and both stalls had full trash cans. Obviously it had not been...

This was our first time at this cafe. We were meeting friends for breakfast. The food was just ok. The service was fair. The atmosphere was poor. The place was not very clean - our table was sticky, the floors felt sticky. The restrooms were in poor condition and had a strong smell of urine even in the hallway leading to the restroom. There was a dead cockroach on the floor in the ladies restroom. The thing that really bothered me was the air conditioning vent in the dining room...
