I normally would give 5 stars but this past year the donuts are not as lite and have more of a dough taste. I still drive from Tyler to get them bc they are still better than others.

Our usual donut shop (close to the house) was closed so we found this shop. I’m a visitor to Athens and this shop is a little hard to see from the street (if you’re unfamiliar with the town you might miss it) but GPS picks it up just fine. Service was excellent and the donuts were great. My only issue is that my granddaughter wanted a breakfast sandwich and they don’t make them at Daylight Donuts. Still….. great place.

I have been getting daylight donuts in Athens since I was 18. I got some today when I came into town and I have to say that I was very disappointed. It was more like a cake donut than the original. They must have changed the recipe. Won’t be back. I can get a cake type donut from any donut shop.
