They tried serving us cold food and when we got it, it wasn't good either. The sides were cold and we had to ask the lady to at least put the brisket in the microwave to heat up.

I’ve driven by this place for years not thinking much of it. One day I decided to stop in for lunch and boy was I surprised. It’s a quaint small town bbq joint that has a nostalgic vibe of the late 90s/early 2000s which adds to its charm. I had the Tuesday special of a loaded potato; pictured below (I chose the brisket). The cost to amount of food ratio is great. And the quality of the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back

Tried this place for the first time today. Wasn't bad. The ribs were real dry even though they fell off the bone. Brisket was good and tender. But I feel it all needs more flavor. Even the green beans had no seasoning.
Looks like people come here to just get takeout. But it is Sunday afternoon between meals.
All in all ok.

We walked in at 3pm. I order brisket and potato salad and beans. The server filled the sides up to the rim of the cups. But then put them on tray and placed on the scales, next he cut the brisket and placed on the scales. I have never seen a VBQ weight the meat like this. So if he pukes the sides high yoy will get less meat?
My husband order a bbq chopped beef and 2 sides; server did the same thing.
My slice brisket was dry and edges were like jerky. The potato salad tasted like it was from Sam's, beans were ok, a lot of raw chili power in them.
Seen this place many times driving back and forth. We will not be stopping again.

Tucked away off a farm-to-market road, this little BBQ spot was an unexpected gem. We stopped by out of convenience and left blown away by the flavor, the perfectly smoked meat, and the warm Texas welcome from Jose. Don’t let its small size fool you—this place delivers big on taste and hospitality. Worth going out of your way for!

Awesome locally owned bbq joint that has a good selection & provides generous portions for a reasonable price. The brisket is moist with great flavor, ribs are fall off the bone tender & the sides are always on point. Friendly staff makes the experience even better. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area & have a hankering for BBQ

Brisket- very dry, odd taste. Sausage tasted wierd, potatoes were blah. Very small portions of meat for the price, especially considering the poor quality and taste. Inside smelled like mildew and dust, humid and musty, like an old cheap motel room... do not recommend. I can only guess by the rating, folks options in the area are limited. The lady working there was very nice, unfortunately the food and dining area were not.

I hadn't visited this restaurant since it was Happy BBQ before the Coronapocalypse, and as I expected, there have been some changes over these past five years or so, including a new dining room, a new name and a change in ownership.

But I'm pleased to report that the changes have predominantly been neutral to positive. While the tidiness of the Dining Room tables could stand more timely attention and the dining areas — indoors and outdoors — could benefit from an added table or three, the cuisine itself is all the same rich, rustic quality that we Texans treasure, as is the polished rancher's decor.

My server informed me that the Walton Burrito (which was not yet on the menu for my last visit) is their most popular entrée, so I was quick to order a Walton Burrito for myself, and happily, it did not disappoint; stuffed with barbecued beef, baked beans, zesty sauce and your picks from a modest variety of extra ingredients (including sliced jalapeños, red onions and white onions), the large Walton Burrito, packed with such rich and hearty ingredients, is a meal in itself!

E&S BBQ, far from even the nearby cities of Canton and Athens, could always use more customers, and I can promise that it's well worth the drive. I shall make a point of returning in the future. Thank you for the satisfying lunch, E&S!
