I've been going here since moving to Athens 2 years ago, went today, and they were closed, so we decided to try another donut shop that sold kolaches. Let me tell you, we will never go anywhere else again, the others are just awful. If Star Donuts is closed, we ain't getting kolaches.
This small shop is the best donut shop I have ever been to. I've lived in many places in Texas but I do believe this is my favorite. The service is always excellent. If you like salsa you have to try some of theirs!
The food could actually use a little working on. It was not really all that great! My son wouldn't even eat his pig in a blankets it could use some refurbishing as well. The employees were nice, so that's a plus.
