Loooove Twisted Root and have frequented multiple locations for many years. This is visit three to the Athens location, and I have been left disappointed by the food twice. It is a simple matter of over-cooking the burgers. TR burgers are best when no more than a juicy medium, but the cooks here seem to push it to medium-well or well-done, leaving the patties dry and less flavorful. The sides are fantastic (Choose the onion strings over the fries--you'll thank me!), the staff friendly and helpful. The burgers just need to be better.

My burger was even cooked all the way it was still raw in the middle and then my drink was horrible I asked for a margarita then the woman who was serving me had a attitude in the bathroom dirty it has spiders

I came to Twisted Root recently and the food was great. Eleigh and Mckinlee were working and they provided a great experience and were very sociable with their guest and made sure everyone was taken care of. Highly recommended

We absolutely love twisted root burger company. It is one of the only places we found the gluten-free bun option which taste better than the regular buns in my opinion . Prices are a little high, but so are everyone's...But the service food and atmosphere definitely make up for it😉

The burger was delicious.I had the texan, the margarita was delicious.I had a watermelon.The fries were good as well. They make their own pickles and the bread and butter pickles are delicious.

This was a great find. A little off the road and hard to see but definitely a place to stop. I got the Big Tex burger and it was so delicious. Decided to add the house made Chipotle Aioli ketchup for a little spice. Their regular fries were good as well. My husband got The Western burger and Freaky Fries. He said his burger was good and I tasted his fries that were so yummy I wish I would have ordered them as well. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again!

Come here often with my kids and we all love it. Food always meets our expectations and service is always good. The bartender Kate is the best, super friendly and attentive. She makes sure my kids have everything they need at all times!! Best spot in Athens !
