If you are around THIS is the place for home cooking. Everything is hand made and don't skip the desserts. Stopped here from Atlanta State park and we are glad we did. The catfish is excellent as are the fried green tomatos.

OMGoodness. I had the fried catfish dinner with catfish, potatoes, coleslaw and hush puppies. I'm quite picky about eating catfish from some place other than my own preparation, seasoning and cooking. But OMGOODNESS I do idnt even give myself the chance to use any condiments such as ketchup and tater sauce. Just gonna be honest I engaged it and finish it all, did not offer anyone any, selfishly I know. And actually I believe I am going to get me some tonight. As soon as I finish this post. I recently ordered nachos w/ the normal cheese, meat and jalapeños.. These were THE WORST nachos I have ever had in my life.. Most of the chips were stale.. The cheese was watery and didn't look nor did it taste like cheese.. The meat looked and tasted like it came from a can of Alpo dog food.. The jalapeños were fine.. Needless to say, I won't order nachos anymore from this place.. ??♀️??

The food was ok, my entire party filled up their stomachs at a reasonable price. We ended here because the other place we were trying to go was closed and this was the second place to go on Google. I would personally not go here again for I live 3 hours away.

I’ve been a customer of Jacks for over 20 years. The service has really gone down hill in the last year or so. I understand they have a lot of younger workers, but it doesn’t seem they’re being taught customer service at all. I’ll leave it at that since the owner replied to another review stating he doesn’t normally bother to respond to anything negative.

Jack’s is my son’s favorite place to eat after his ball games. We always enjoy the hamburgers or fried baloney sandwiches and we always get the homemade milkshakes (my favorite)! I just wish you would get straws appropriate for milkshakes…the ones you have might as well be coffee stirers.

The burger and onion rings were worth the 15 minute wait. Nice country burger spot which is just what I was looking for on a drive home from Hot Springs to Fulshear, TX.
My sons enjoyed their corn dog and burger along with green beans.
Only recommendation is they update their payment to be able to tip on credit card.
