I went earlier this summer and as someone from the south, I'm always on the look out for homecooked southern taste. if your passing by give them a chance. They are worth it.

I stopped by today for a first time visit for some ribs and brisket to go. The service was very friendly. The sauce was way to sweet for my taste but the ribs were okay and had a good bite to them. The brisket was not good with no decernible slices, just globs of some meat with lots and lots of fat. I think the brisket was smoked but couldn't really tell with no smoke flavor. Thankfully I only bought a 1/2 lb for about 15.00 because I had to throw 80% of it away. We certainly won't be back.

We love going to Tommy's, especially for Sunday Dinner. Their food is excellent and the desserts are lip-smackin' good. It's a family run place with good cheer and are always welcoming to their friends and guests.

We are a random family with little kids who stopped here on a road trip (based on reviews alone as we couldnât find a menu online, felt like a risk) and WE WILL ABSOLUTELY BE BACK! I never write reviews for restaurants in passing. But I am compelled to; the food was incredible. THE BRISKET (so tender and sliced thin as bacon!), THE SWEET POTATOES (how are they so sweet?), THE GREEN BEANS. We live in Houston and will absolutely be making it a point to come back by on any future road trips. The whole family is happy! The food was not only amazing but also the owner was so welcoming and kind! No photos because we inhaled the food and it was gone.
