We had the steak and smashburger. The steak was fantastic and the burger was probably the best I've ever had. Literally. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Couldn't be happier with our experience!

While I rarely go to restaurants in hotels but found my self at the 18th over Austin today: Jeremy was amazing and very attentive.Very friendly and great conversation. The food was fresh and made to order which was great.Burger was cooked to perfection and had lots of flavor.Order a drink afterwards which also was a great end of the night drink. Most restaurants at the top of hotels are overpriced and not really good but this one you have to try. Place was very clean and if I'm to tired to go anywhere I would definitely be at this place Great job team

Average experience, the hotel was a bit dark and uninteresting. Other hotels are nicer, cheaper, and offer free breakfast. I would not stay here again. I would choose Hyatt house over this one since it’s has all the above mentioned.

Malik was a great vallet. The beds were comfortable. Service was great. The pool was small but nice. It wasn’t too warm. The service all around from beginning to end was excellent. The hotel was in walking distance from the nightlife we came to experience.

Thanks to an “Alexander “ (if that is even his real name) my hotel guest experience went from a 5 to a one star. Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. This particular front desk agent “Alexander”, I am guessing works either mid shift or evening shift because the times that I have spoke to him. He has answered the phone. They have all been 1 PM or after, He is very rude and has a terrible attitude. When he answers the phone, he simply says “Hilton Garden Inn.” Very monotone very unwelcoming. He does not thank you for calling. He does not mention his name literally no greeting whatsoever he doesn’t even say hello. I am ashamed to have spent my money to be treated and such an unjust way. This person is very condescending and sarcastic! Instead of answering your question, he will literally cut you off and continuously, keep repeating “How May I help you”. I seriously hope that this guy is a no type of leader ship position because if Hilton standards have been degraded for customers to feel unwelcome, to be talked to rudely, and sarcastically and mistreated, then I don’t want to stay here any more. Not to mention I don’t know if there is a high turnaround rate for this property or what the deal is but no front desk agent or Valet seemed to have knowledge of any questions that were being asked. They are doing a job blindly and have little to no training. Just embarrassing whoever the GM is of the property to have agent representing the company as a whole like that.

This was some of the best car service I have experienced there were very kind and respectful helpers I believe one of the names were Keilin but it was very easy and loved my stay there this will definitely be a place I recommend to others

Walking distance from 6th street and the staff members were very helpful. We met Alexander at the front desk and he went out of his way to make our vacation special. We were celebrating my girlfriend’s 25th birthday in Austin and became stressed from plans falling apart. Alexander gave us recommendations for the area, helped with anything we needed, and made us feel at home whenever we passed by. Glad to have met such a genuine person. Give him a promotion because he is the person you will want to lead any team in the hospitality business.

I'll never stay at this hotel again. It doesn't deserve to have a Hilton Garden Inn flag on it. Lots of noise both nights from 6th Street. The only parking available is valet at $56.29/night which far exceeds charges at other Austin hotels. To order my car brought down using the QR code they wanted a $7 tip when I'd already generously tipped each time I called for the car. Waited 10-12 minutes and asked the man at the valet counter where my car was. Trevon said didn't have my request. He took my ticket number and said it would be another 15 minutes and was rather dismissive and rude when I pointed out that I'd already waited for about 15 minutes. Twice another attendant pointed out to him that we'd been waiting a long time. Both times he brushed him off. The attendant who eventually brought the car down was VERY apologetic and said the man had held my car because I had complained about the delay. This was insulting and an inferior way to do business.

The best service I have ever received at a Hilton Family hotel and I have been a Hilton Honors member since 1998. Every function provided genuine over-the-top service. The Front desk, the Bar, the Restaurant, the Valet - everyone. Food was outstanding. I wish I could live there.

I spent one night at the Hilton Garden Inn following a business conference in Austin. The staff was very friendly . The room was good, however the decor and location was lacking. I didn’t feel particularly comfortable walking around the area to and from Sixth Street. The price was reasonable.

When I booked my location I wasn't expecting to literally be downtown where walking around in the evening, by yourself, is not really encouraged. In any event, I drove safely to where I needed to be. However, enjoying the vibe of the city might have been nice but the area was not really I would safe and sound... maybe for some locals but I was discouraged from walking at night. Parking is a but steep but a reasonable discount for Diamond members. But only valet is available. Hotel felt safe due to their locked premises and elevator security. Although forget your key and you're up a creek. Rooms were nice, clean and fresh. Restaurant on top floor was really good. Great street tacos and drinks were made really well. Gym was good and used daily. My only concern was the parking costs, no cash in the lobby at all, and not being able to move around at night comfortably. Oh well. Next time.

Excellent hotel located next to Highway 35 and close to downtown facilities. Friendly, helpful valet parking service and great easy check in service. Room was nicely furnished and comfortable. Restaurant/Bar on 18th floor was a nice touch - reasonable selection of food and wide range of drinks. Definitley recommend this hotel for a stay in downtown Austin.

Great view of downtown! I had a bad experience with the martinis: not only they were out of the espresso for the martini but the regular martini was not good.

Great service, and the burger was HUGE and delicious!! Great views overlooking Austin and the capitol building.
