Im sure the coconut cake is good, but I got the smallest peice possible so I am not able to say. It was barely 3 bites at $14 a slice. Its not worth buying by the slice.

We love 34th Street Cafe, it never disappoints. The chicken piccata is outstanding (honestly the best in Austin, if I dare say it). They also have a great wine selection, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. A perfect spot for a group dinner or a cozy, quiet night for two.
34th Street Cafe has been a family favorite for a long time, and it continues to live up to our expectations time and again. Exceptional food, good service, and a wonderful dining experience all work to make dinner there as good as expected. :)
There's a reason for 34th Street Cafe's longevity in a city where restaurants turn over on a weekly basis. Good food, good value, a reasonably priced wine list (especially before 7:00), and the best wine list in town if you also count the fact they allow BYOB for corkage. Our waiter was very attentive, the music was jazz at a decent volume, and you can have a conversation without shouting across the table. We will be back.
Visited for lunch, food came out pretty quick and was delicious. Parking is a little hectic but other than that would eat here again.

Lovely spot with good food and service. BUT, the website says they have a happy hour with $7 glasses of wine. Showed up with 3 friends to have some wine and small plates, only to be told, oh, the website is out of date, that was before COVID. ??? 5 years is a long time to not update your website!! (Which isn't that hard folks)

We had been before and it was good but this time the food was not good at all the service slow and on a Friday evening they didn't have half of the desserts. Place looked decadent. Sorry because we luv in the neighborhood and like to eat there but U don't think we are coming back.
Food was amazing, with a very nice variety. I had the lamb special, but when I saw someone in our party get the redfish, I thought "Oooh, that looks good, too!" That was the case for all the dishes. Service was very attentive and welcoming. Great fun!!
Our group had a delicious lunch here, which included turkey and chicken sandwiches plus a salmon salad. Would definitely come here again.
The food was excellent. We had the lamb shank and chicken piccata dishes. Both were excellently prepared. The lamb shank was one of the best I've had! Great job!
