I wish I could give it 100000 stars because it’s the closest to authentic 3arabi shawarma I can get in Austin. Very Welcoming crew, and great music on at all times. I probably come here three times per week lol.

I was subjected to unacceptable treatment from the staff, and there was a clear lack of professionalism in how customers were treated. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope management reviews the way employees with customers.

I am writing this review to report a very unfortunate incident that happened to me today at Abu Omar Halal on Guadalupe Street.

I was dining in with my friends. After finishing my first order, I ordered a second sandwich and was told it would take about 20 minutes. While waiting, there were fries, sauces, and a drink on the table, which I planned to throw away properly after finishing my meal.

An employee named Adrian suddenly yelled at me aggressively, telling me to throw everything away, without trying to understand that I was still waiting for my order. I calmly tried to explain, but he interrupted me and forcefully shut the service window in my face in a very rude and disrespectful way.

My friend tried to explain the situation, but the employee refused to listen and closed the window again. Later, another employee intervened and apologized, which I appreciate.

I behaved respectfully the entire time and did nothing wrong. What I experienced was humiliating and felt like discriminatory treatment. I hope management reviews this incident and takes appropriate action so this does not happen to other customers.
