Got the holiday platter when we had family in town and we enjoyed it! Our food was on time even though we ordered 2 of the holiday platters which we were told may take a while to prepare. Would order again!

Had an awesome lunch yesterday. It was so filling that I even had some to save for dinner! Interesting flavors and a unique form of sushi you won't find elsewhere in Austin

I was so excited to find out that minami and mikus to go shop was opening in Texas! I’ve been obsessed with those restaurants and get it every visit to Vancouver. Amazing oshi!

I’m from Vancouver and aburi oshi is a massive thing over there. It’s become popular among other big Canadian cities and I’m so freaking glad it has made its way to Austin :)!

The sushi scene in Vancouver is pretty big so let me know tell you this. Please ignore all the bad reviews Aburi oshi has gotten on Google so far. I see people upset about the wait but hell, it’s a soft opening and they’re trying to figure it out. I see people complaining that it’s just not good and hell, they probably don’t know good sushi lol.

The recipe, quality, and taste is the exact same that you’d get at Miku in Vancouver. I’ve ordered from their ghost kitchen multiple times and it has been consistent and tasty each time. My favorite is the salmon and ebi oshi sushi.

This has always been the one unique sushi dish I make all my American friends try when they visit Vancouver and they’ve always loved it. Excited for when they finally open an official location and expand further :)!

Yummmm. They currently operate out of the ghost kitchen but they aren't on the app just their website. It took about 30 minutes from the time we placed our order to finish. The bites are smaller than pictured but very flavorful. I love the quality of the fish and the rice was the perfect fluffiness. I could have used more soy sauce for the amount of food we ordered. We got the combo to try all 4 of the aburi sushi options for $32. I feel like they could be even more fresh if this was a dine in but the container holds up well. I can see them doing well as catering. I ordered a second time and it really got better. I got two different combos and it was about 24 pieces for 2 people which is plenty. We had a hard time figuring out what was what (guess i don't know my fish well enough) so i recommend that they add a piece of paper on top that kind of labels the items. Especially the Combo E that has 6 different toppings. I just think the sauce and then searing the surface to create a smoky flavor is really good. The rice is perfect: it's compressed but still fluffy.

I'd rather eat HEB sushi. This is a weird concept. Rice is super thick and sushi is thinner than 1 PLY toilet paper. I spent $150 to get short grain rice...this isn't it folks.

If you like waiting longer than the expected time to pick up your food and want to spend money on food you’ll never receive, this is the place! We ordered at noon and scheduled to pick up our order between 5:45-6pm. Showed up at 5:30, checked in and immediately with hit with “order delayed”. Absolutely packed parking lot, nowhere to sit or stand inside and 4 out of the 30+ people around told me they have been there for 45 minutes waiting for their food. We waited a full hour with no update other than the original text saying our order is prepared.

If you aren’t ready to open, don’t open. I get it’s the hype of a new restaurant in Austin that everyone wants to go to, prepare for it then. Limit the amount of orders than can be made in a certain time frame. We would’ve gladly come another time if we were told at noon the order would not be ready.

Cant rate the food because I never got it, they still have our money though! Good luck cancelling your order or getting your food, I’m sure it’s good once you get it!

The front desk people ( ghost kitchen) - just keep saying they are ‘really busy with 30 orders’.

I am sitting in front of the pick up for 45 min only one small order came out for a single man.

I could understand if they were busy and my order was just behind - But- they are not producing any food and the woman at the counter is clueless.

Wow what a failed opening! - I don’t think you could do a worse job!

I can’t rate the food because they appear to be capable of producing a single order every hour.
