We were debating leaving the hotel for dinner. I'm so glad we didn't because the food here is amazing. I'm so thankful they were gracious enough to accommodate us arriving near closing time. As a whiskey gal, the Summertime Old Fashioned was made very well. I loved the Blue Crab & Artichoke Dip. Very flavorful. The Chile-Glazed Organic Chicken was delicious. I'd love to know how they perfected the crisp. ? And the Gulf Shrimp and Grits was very tasty. I loved their spin on it with the charred corn and it was very rich. I'll definitely be back!

Had a date night here because it seemed to be the nicest place in the area around campus / Bob Bullock / the Capitol. The date went well! The food was great, and Monte especially provided fantastic service.The atmosphere was up there with some of the nicer Austin establishments further down south.I will definitely be back, and would highly recommend to anybody else that does not want to deal with an expensive Uber or parking inbetween campus/the capitol area and the rest of the nice restaurants.Parking: Parking and location are one of the big advantages of this restaurant.Kid-friendliness: It seemed kid friendly. There is a bar, and it is upscale, but there is nothing rowdy to worry about.

We were surprised with our experience here. We didn't have the highest expectations for a hotel restaurant far from the main drags of restaurants downtown.Luckily, the food was great, the environment was sophisticated, and the service was excellent. Hoping to come back and try other dishes.I really think it was the staff that made our experience stand apart. While waiting for a table, we had fun conversation with the bartender (Mr. Coral, but we never caught his first name). Our server Jeremiah paid very careful attention to us and made intelligent suggestions by reading between the lines. We also had a good laugh with him and our food runner. Everyone there took really good care of us and that makes us want to come back.
