The barman shockingly asked my completely regular sized friend if she was pregnant when she ordered a drink... This question was not only wholly inappropriate and unprofessional but also deeply insensitive. It is also extremely concerning as you don't know who can struggle with body dysmorphia, and an unprovoked mean question like this could cause serious harm. (which by the way, it really did) when we calmly said we were leaving as that was so inappropriate (it was so shocking we weren't even mad, just confused) - the barman randomly said 'ye f* off then' This level of aggression was entirely unwarranted. We are unsure as to why the barman was so hostile as we had never met him, we had just arrived and were ordering our first drink. It really put a damper on my first night in Austin. Daniel the barman, you should seek help and learn how to be kind.

We just came for drinks and it was such a vibes spot! The drinks were hitting! And the music was great. Our servers were so sweet. A great spot for an instagramable date.

Food was delicious but the service was really inattentive and the music/atmosphere was too imposing. It was too loud to hear anyone at our table, and it was only 7pm. Took forever to get any requests made or filled, and constantly waiting around for the staff to come back, which rarely happened.Sometimes the dishes would get dropped off at the end of the table in a rush without a word being said about it.

We visited during SXSW, so that may have affected our service, but overall I was not happy. The food was amazing, but service was extremely slow and it was not busy. Drinks were long empty and food long gone before we were checked on again. Our server "forgot" about us several times. It took 45 minutes from asking for our check until we finally paid. It is probably worth checking out, but make a reservation and don't sit outside.

So I think I'd like to try this place for dinner before I finalize my judgement. I had tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and it kept failing. We went to downtown regardless and i told them we had this issue, the host was a little aggressive, and was like "obviously it didn't work because we're full. You can take the end seats at the bar" which was fine with us, but it would have been nice for him to let us know what time they could have seated us rather than a flat out no. Our bartender was friendly and helpful and we got a couple cocktails, I didn't think they were out of this world. I think the ambiance was nice. There was incense burning. There's plants and peacocks adorning the walls. It really does seem like a pretty place, would love to try it again sometime.

Our server was great and the aesthetic/decor is super cute. I feel like most of the places that are super cute though don't have the best food/drinks. Food was decent, we got bao buns... butttt we got a pitcher of sangria, it was a special the night we went - that was not sangria and the worst way possible. We still drank it but I would never get a drink there again. Thank you to the friendly wait staff but will not be returning.

This place could be great if it wasn't for the heavy bald guy with glasses that generally greets you when you come in. If you are a heterosexual male just turn around and walk out because bald guy will find a way to refuse your service. This has happened on several occasions and now I'm fully aware my kind are simply not welcome. However, if he is not the host and not in the vicinity - the experience is solid.

Tragically mediocre. Ah Sing Den has been on our list for so long, and we were expecting an experience on par with places like Small Victory and Roosevelt Room. This place reminds me of the phrase, “lipstick on a pig.” The decor and music were nice, and the cocktails were interesting, but we waited 20 minutes just to order. Can’t believe this place charges $20 per cocktail when the bathroom looks and feels like a storage shed. There’s also a crack in the women’s bathroom stall so you can say hi to the person using the stall next to you, and if you’re lucky enough to get sat on the couch by the window, you’ll barely be able to see over the table. We tried two of their small bites and wished we had skipped it.

I leave fat and happy every time I come here. And I tell all my out-of-town friends to put this on their list. The cocktails never disappoint. And this town is saturated with cocktail spots these days that serve overly tart or unbalanced concoctions. Here, they are balanced and garnished simply. I appreciate that the service is a bit slower. It goes with the opium den vibe of relaxing and enjoying yourself. Our waiter, Ryan, was a sweetheart and checked in regularly. Even the host was SO accommodating when we were 20 minutes late due to SXSW traffic. Each dish was well executed, but the mussels stole the show. That broth, ugh. Beautiful.

This is the kind of bar that represents Austin. It has great taste, even better food, but better than that drinks. They have DJ's come in so music and dance is ripe for the taking. The service is also great, they aren't going to gush over you, but they will get you food and drinks before you even have a chance to ask.Parking: Finding a place to park on East 6th is going to be the hardest part about seeing this establishment.

Hit or miss with every visit to ASD.One MAIN plus is the MUSIC. My god, I must’ve Shazammed 15 songs in one night. One. After. The. Other. One miss that I’ve noticed is cocktail quality towards the “late night” hours. The quality drops off and things seem potentially batched, versus individually made. Last drink I ordered felt like drinking a glass of thick Bloody Mary mix. Blegh.Overall amazing vibes. Aesthetically cool. Can feel intimate. Can be cool for a date spot. Give it a shot

Service was kind of slow (waitress forgot our drink order and it literally took us probably 45 minutes for the tea). We also got the goat cheese rangoon. All the food was 10/10! The lamb wontons were our favorite. We got the tea with the apple, beet and turmeric --- a little bland honestly. Both my friend and I agreed it tasted more like just some hot water. We didn't get any cocktails here but other reviews said they are fantastic. Totally dig the vibe of this place, the ambiance was 10/10! Good music! I would return for the ambiance alone! Loved. 4 stars just because our service was painfully slow sadly.

Went here to celebrate a few birthdays and they brought out a shot with a candle in it! All the drinks were great and the atmosphere reminded me of a speakeasy. I think we sat there for 4 hours and could've stayed all night.

I've never been here for lunch, but I have been here for their Thursday rituals late at night. The bar is open, I saw some people eating some food, but the real magic is in the little room out in the back. They have really good DJs, the vibe is spectacular, my favorite place to get a drink on a Thursday night. The bartenders can be a bit slow, the servers though are super friendly super good vibes. Love this space.

Super cute moody bar. Perfect for a romantic date night. The food and drinks were great. The booths were comfy and the overall vibe was warm and inviting. One of my favorite Austin bars.
