We are huge Alamo fans! Always a fantastic time at Alamo Slaughter- My favorite Drafthouse in Austin. The people, the food, & the theaters are all top notch and in our opinion, blow the other Alamos in the area out of the water.

We have made this our go-to place when we want to see a movie. It is a little expensive, but all prices are listed, so there's no shock. Also, the gratuity is auto-added and well deserved (in my opinion) because every staff member here has been very nice and attentive.

Good sound. Comfy-ish seats that half recline. The table-side service is awesome - the staff work really hard! Mandatory 18% service-fee charge is outrageous though. Food was very pricey, but ok tasting - a pizza, a burger, chips/queso, and 1 Dr. Pepper was $80 before tip. I was there for a 8 pm movie and they did not refill my "unlimited" refill dr. Pepper because the kitchen closes at 9 pm, so that was an inconvenience for sure. I paid $20 for two movie tickets on discount Tuesday. The best seats seem to be the row behind the accessible seats. Parking was easy-ish. They check your tickets at your seat which is niceIn total - $100 for 2 1/2 stars rounded up to 3 stars

I absolutely ? LOVE being at the theater and this location specifically is awesome. The esthetic of the lobby and hallways are spot on, and it's just such a great experience. The food is great, staff is awesome. The seats are super comfy and prices are good. I recently got the season pass and it is so worth it if you love movies.

Alamo Drafthouse is the gold standard for seeing a movie in theaters. Comfortable seats, good food, good drinks, attentive staff. Compared with the South Lamar location, Slaughter Lane feels a little bit more "corporate," and less indie movie theater. But my measure of success is: can you watch a movie in peace on a high quality screen with good sound design without fools interrupting it unchecked? Slaughter Lane does great by this measure. The reclining chairs and food are just bonuses.

Great service and food. Best place to see a movie! Cheese Sticks and local Beers, it's the best! 12-16, Wonka was such a great movie ? to see here! Always an amazing place to see a movie ? Ghosts Busters at Alamo, they know how to do movies
As a theater, Alamo is one of a kind. There's a lot of work put into the atmosphere, and it really shows. I will come here for the movies, but I will not be ordering the food anymore, and I would not recommend someone with an allergy eat here either. Out of the three times I've ordered something at this location, there has been something wrong with my order. The last time, I was assured my order was gluten-free, and I ended up getting gluten poisoning as my order was made completely vegan instead of gluten-free. There are clearly not enough cross-contamination/allergen standards in the kitchen. It's definitely disappointing, and I feel like Alamo is weirdly behind the times on their allergen safety, especially in a city like Austin. Sucks because the staff is nice, but they just don't know much about allergens or intolerances. Not being able to eat the food definitely takes away from the experience, and I hope they fix it soon.

What a great experience! The sound and movie quality was amazing. The wait staff was really nice and thorough. Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane is really nice, the seats are great and they recline. My only complaint was the food prices. I ordered the chicken club sandwich which was really good but was pretty pricey. Tips are included in the meal so just be ready to spend $30 dollars on a sandwich and a drink. Other than that it's a great place to see a movie. I definitely recommend going to Alamo Drafthouse over a regular theater.

Comfortable seats, decent food, prompt and friendly service. The servers are very skilled at staying out of the way of the movie screen.
