Almarah Grill Mediterranean Cuisine

Horrible experience ordeing take out food this evening. Drove 15 min. to Almarah, ordered Vegetarian Meza Plate & waited 20 minutes to get food, drove home 15 minutes, only to realize there was chicken & gyro meat on the dish. Drove back to Almarah 15 minutes, waited 20 minutes to get a replacement dish of Vegetarian Meza Plate, only to be given another dish with chicken & gyro. Told the staff to keep their food. Won't be going back.

I’ve been coming to this little gem of a restaurant for three years now and it is as delicious today as it was back then. I LOVE the Lamb Kabob dish with all the fresh sides! Most recently we met Mo (new server) who was attentive, personable and courteous. Thank you for a wonderful experience and delicious dishes!

I hade dinner here with my family. The food was amazing 10/10. I’m originally from Egypt, and they have middle eastern food which was delicious.

Food was excellent, gyro lamb was succulent and perfect. Hummus was delicious, although the dolma didn’t feel that fresh it was still tasty.

Just a solid dinner for a super reasonable price.

So been here 3 times now and everyone or was no good. Dry rice, the dessert was either runny or too done and no good taste. No real flavor. I have never had Arabic food like this. No good. 3 strikes your out. Coffee is the only good thing. WAY TO EXPENSIVE and Smallest portions I have ever gotten.

The food at this place is absolutely amazing! By far the best Mediterranean place in the area. We went for dinner and the rice and shawarma is amazing! The service is amazing and they will happily start a conversation. It’s normally not very busy so the food comes out very quickly.

I got the chicken shawarma and wasn’t too impressed… was expecting more veggies and smokier flavored meat. Instead, the shawarma was pretty dry and just had a bunch of chicken (though very tender and juicy). I was slightly disappointed, but i would like to stop by again to try something else. I think it’s worth to try it, maybe i just picked a non-house special item. Also got baklava, it was okay but i wouldn’t get it again. The nuts were all on the bottom and the philo dough was stacked on top instead of the alternating layers

Had a worse experience ever, Ruined my date night , we ordered shish kabab mix platter, everything was cold but chicken, when we notify waitress she took the platters and bring the same platters back after warming up, I am are you kidding me bring the same platters instead of making fresh one?? They warmed up the sause too which comes with the platters, all meats in the plate got so dry after reheating, worse worse experience that I have never had before

Visited the place yesterday. Food was awesome and so was hookah. However it would have been nice if the young dude (not sure if he was the owner or not) would have been a little courteous and polite. Other staff were friendly. One star less for unfriendly welcome and rude tone

The food was amazing. We had some of the best chargrilled lamb chops. Definitely will be going back on my next visit to Austin.

This place has nothing to do with middle eastern food.. the meat was tasteless the salad was very soggy had to send it back to get a replacement the humus and baba ganoug reminded me of the canned ones
