Good puffy tacos. I also had a cheese enchilada. It was okay, but didn't have that tex-Mex flair. The chips and salsa was good. The waitress took our order quickly, and the food came out pretty fast. It was lunchtime. I would go back, but not for the enchiladas.

Do not recommend ordering for pick up. The tacos had a little bit of meat. The container for the enchiladas was flimsy and all the cheese got stuck on top.

Don't forget your credit card!!!!!!!!!!!!This morning I received a call from AMEX saying that fraud had been detected on my card. I thought my card was lost, but I actually left it and Amaya's. My card had been used several times at Burger King, and Walmart several times (Fraudulent charges confirmed by AMEX). I usually only use the card for travel. I called to speak to a manager, she confirmed that my card was indeed at Amaya's (The manager confirmed my name on the card, and she stated it had been there since the end of March). The manager proceeded to argue with me saying that the card was in her office and had not moved. She said that the card may have been cloned somewhere else. She refused to give me her name and she was extremely defensive. She was so defensive that I just ended the call. I have eaten at Amayas over 20 years, and I have never imagined that this would happen to me. AMEX fraud department is investigating this incident. This post has nothing to do with their food, it's the service and response to my inquiry about how my credit card could be used to purchase items at places I do not frequent or eat. The card was left at their establishment. The kicker is that I did not remember leaving it at AMAYAS. I was retracing my steps and the manager confirmed that the card was left at AMAYAS, she even knew my full name on the card. I am not buying her story, and I will never use any card at AMAYAS. CASH ONLY!!!!!!!!!The manager should be reprimanded for her unprofessional and inexcusable behavior towards me.

We placed a takeout order for Flautas, a taco dinner, queso, and salsa. The chicken in the tacos is plain, boiled chicken. Absolutely no seasoning. The chips are Tostitos. The only item that tasted anywhere close to authentic was the salsa, but the terrible chips ruined it. The queso was also overpriced for what it was. The server that checked us out was kind and apologetic about the extremely long wait, but we would never order from here again. We had high hopes based on the reviews, but it's the worst Mexican food we've had in Austin.

The staff were extremely nice and made me feel like I was at an aunt’s house! There were people there of all ages - seniors, kids, young adults. Very family friendly. I ordered the nachos with fajita chicken and a side of lettuce. You can order them with guacamole, beans, sour cream etc but I like mine fairly simple. They were DELICIOUS! Loaded with chicken and cheese just like nachos should be!Their salsa is delicious (and addictive). Mild with a little heat at the end. It’s not chunky salsa (I liked that) and it’s made fresh.I ordered a frozen margarita as well, but it wasn’t served until the food came to the table because it was Sunday. The server said that’s their policy on Sunday - no drinks without food.I also tried their beef enchilada and chicken tortilla soup. BOTH WERE AMAZING!!!

Food was pretty good and plenty of seating.Fajita plate was large but not exactly large slices of beef. More like a Philly steak with strips. The crunchy taco that came with my meal (I think it was the Mexican dinner) was not crispy. Enchiladas are pretty good.Best item was the really hot flour tortillas. Tortilla chips were pretty good.Kinda weird to have an auto suggested 20% tip. When checking out in their little device you would think 18% would be recommended minimum then work up from there. Service was good so I tipped 20% but not a fan of being forced to
