Amy’s is another Austin original and I am especially fond of it because in the 1980s, the original Amy’s opened up in what used to be a Texas French bread literally around the corner from me. I used to go there all the time for the very first days of their opening and still go. Their ice creams are excellent with a lot of unique flavors.

Good ice cream. Long wait line that wraps around front. Small, medium, or large size serving cups are available. Bought two large cups of hand dipped "Belgian" chocolate ice cream. Got one plain and the other with white coconut and big walnuts added...easy portions. Ate both while waiting for a flight out. The cost was $21.06 total, which includes a punched in tip. Overall, it was refreshing, but nothing to write home about....lol

I stopped by at 8 o’clock on Wednesday, January 29, and they said that they close at 8 o’clock today. Because apparently if there are in flights and there’s nothing for them to do, although apparently my business would have given them something to do.

Flippin' ice cream made with real sugar, hand beaten with your choice of toppings. These talented folks will play catch in fabulous ways.

Mexican Vanilla is the BEST! Add fresh strawberries for a true Austin flavor.

They will let you sample flavors, and even offer dairy-free or vegan options.

It's the first place I stop when I land in Austin, and a much better way to wait for my luggage. ...or for my departuring flight.

The waffles cones are made in-house as a bonus.

Check out the to-go kits, which make a wonderful gift for those who greet you at the airport, whether here or there.

Vegetarian options: Vegan options as well.

Dietary restrictions: No corn syrup in this ice cream!

Parking: It's inside the airport, past security.

Lady that works there is very rude. Asked for my flavor and when I tried it, the flavor was very off to what I asked for so I went back and asked for my original flavor. The lady that works there threw my ice cream into the trash and came back with my ice cream cup and slammed it on the counter. She yelled at me telling me that my originals flavor was in fact the flavor I asked for, but it was not.

Great service. A mint cone hit the spot. They mixed ice cream up on cold slabs if you add a crush in topping. They also toss the scoops in the air sometimes.

About $9 for a one scoop waffle cone with one crush-in added.

I had a layover and decided to try. David was very helpful in making suggestions. & he was patient as I am an indecisive person. The Ice cream was A1. Highly recommend. & love the customer service and music they had. Don’t hesitate to try.

Kelly served us. She is the best! Pulled out all the tricks (literally, with ice cream tricks) and 1000000% made our day. My partner and I love stopping at Amy’s on our way in and out of Austin!

Guy at the counter was incredibly rude wheni asked for a simple order. For some reason he wasn't able to put the ice cream on a cone but put in a bowl and then jammed a cone on top of it? And then gave me attitude about it?!!
