I finally tried Amy’s after living in Austin far too long. It was pretty much everything I’d hoped for. I got three scoops of Oreo ice cream with Oreo topping. The ice cream is quite thick and very sweet. The employees were friendly and answered any questions and gave samples.

Have been going to this location since I was a kid and had a disappointing experience here. We walked in a at 10 and they were closing at 10:30. The staff told us as soon as we walked in that they stopped doing crushins for the night but could still put toppings on top. Fine. My boyfriend orders a shake and they say that they are out of milk for the night. An icecream place being out of milk? Seems unlikely. It seemed like they had already cleaned for the night and were trying to leave early. It appeared as they were making it up as they went. With 3 staff members it shouldn’t take long to clean up. You don’t even need any special equipment or ingredients to do the crush ins vs putting the toppings on top besides the paddles.

I got 2 wild cards tonight and it was some of the best ice cream combos we've had! The girl that made them was super nice and excited to make them. here's always a line but the employees (especially tonight) are always efficient and friendly. Love coming to this one!

I love the ice cream at Amy’s and the servers are awesome but to the little barefoot brat named “Timmy”, please don’t pick your nose, hit strangers on the knees and lick the window. Parents, since “Timmy” doesn’t read Google reviews, please be a little LESS permissive and rein in your children because your lax parenting is REALLY a drag. No, Timmy isn’t “discovering” himself. He’s harassing customers. No fault of Amy’s but after frequenting the Burnet location for a year, the number of “cool” parents has turned this place into a daycare. Please. Be attentive.

I ordered the Mexican vanilla ice-cream cone. I really liked the ice cream. It had a very good flavor, not overly sweet. I really liked the atmosphere of the place. It shares space with another restaurant. Great place for families with kids.
